    The 2020 Grand Depart from Nice will undoubtedly prove a real spectacle, holding the official opening team’s presentation, followed by the opening two stages that will see the pro peloton primed and eager to take early Tour de France glory…the much desired Maillot Jaune, yellow jersey’s grasp, wide open for all competitors.

    Stage one, an expected thrilling sprint finale that will inevitably see the world’s fastest men on two wheels go head to head in a fighting dash to the line. The lead won’t sit in a sprinters hands for long, however as Stage two dives straight into the testing mountainous surrounds of Nice, tackling not one, but three lengthy ascents along the way. A cruel start that will only ensure spectating and atmosphere at its absolute best!

    The 2020 CME/Professional Development Tour de France Experience has been designed to combine the best of the Tour’s Grand Depart in Nice, with a unique, educational experience for like-minded medical professionals from varying areas; physicians, to chiropractors, allied health care professionals and beyond, that all share a desire interest in combining the Tour de France, with personal or business development. Throughout the trip, you will participate in Science of Cycling learning seminars and engage in numerous medical conferences that will aim to improve, refresh and advance you as professionals, all within a healthy, active environment; cycling focused and amidst the thick of the extravaganza that it, the Tour de France.

    Dr. Cathryn Zeglinski

    Biography
    Dr. Cathryn Zeglinski, fluent in French and English, is a board certified family and sports medicine physician licensed since 1991 and practicing in the world renowned ski and bike resort of Whistler, BC , Canada since 1993 with a brief foray to USA for more specialized training..

    She completed her medical training in Canada, 1992, and was a sports medicine fellow for specialization certification at The Orthopedic Speciality Hospital in Salt Lake City, USA in 1995- 1996 where she was also the principal physician at Park City Ski Resort Clinic. Her experience in orthopedic trauma and sports medicine stems from years of involvement in communities passionate about gravity fueled mountain sports including bike adventures.

    Cycling has always been both a competitive venture and a way of life, commuting to her studies or workplace. She loves two wheeled adventures and in fact owns every category of two wheeled bike and loves winter fat bike riding as much as pump track, road, mountain bike, or gravel roads on a cx bike. Racing has just vetted her appetite for more adventures with podiums in Europe, South Africa, Canada and USA and recently winning title of 2019 World Champion UCI XCO Mountain bike (Masters)and Provincial Marathon Masters Champion (40+) for British Columbia, Canada. She is a proponent of clean sport and lifestyle choices for optimum health.

    The Tour De France Feminin, in which she was a finisher for the Canadian amateur women’ team in 1987, was a special event which ran for four years. This race in a prior era had the women racing a separate event which commenced further up the road from the men’s event for shorter stages but generally same finishes with all the screaming glory awaiting the riders and drama filled days.

    Mummu Cycling clients receive this unique experience very reminiscent of her race experience and she strives to share the excitement of a race participant to all the Mummu cycling clients and get a backstage look at the operations of the tour teams, and the medical personnel that enhance the riders performance.
