Mummu Cycling operate a number of varying cycling vacations across the world annually. Each cycling vacation offers a unique experience differential to your everyday cycling tour.
Stuart O’Grady is a key partner to Mummu Cycling and plays a pivotal part in the design and delivering of all Mummu tours throughout the season. Stuart is a former leading professional Australian cyclist who lived and competed at pro level for 18 consecutive years. He contended and excelled in 17 Tour de France’s, won multiple Olympic medals and took Paris Roubaix glory in 2007. His career was nothing short of exceptional and his level of expertise and knowledge are difficult to top. He joined Mummu Cycling several years ago and now shares his experiences and skillset on our cycling vacations.
Mummu’s cycling vacations begin down under in South Australia for the now famous, Tour Down Under. Stuart grew up and now resides in Adelaide and is a former dual winner of the event, so it’s safe to say, our season begins on an absolute high. To add – weather, world-class bike racing, incredible atmosphere and exceptional riding roads make for a fantastic time down under and ensure the cycling vacation of a lifetime.
Mummu Cycling then ventures across to Europe for the remainder of the season, starting out by embracing the chill – yet excitement of the Spring and a full line-up of ‘Classics’. Highlights include the iconic Tour of Flanders and absolute must-do experience, Paris-Roubaix. With Stuart a former champion of the event, it is a truly momentous occasion as we set off on bikes down the same cobbled sector he stormed to victory on, and experience the sensational finale into the Roubaix velodrome. This cycling vacation is incredibly unique and an unprecedented experience alongside O’Grady.
Concluding the Classics, our cycling vacations are solely focused on the ‘longest’ events in cycling; the three Grand tours. Beginning with the spectacular Giro d’Italia where we travel through some of Italy’s most stunning regions and enjoy the best of their charismatic culture along the way. To add – our cycling vacations include the opportunity to coincide with the standout Mitchelton-SCOTT professional team on a unique GreenEDGE Travel experience, enabling you insider access to the team and the chance to truly feel part of the squad as they fight it out for pink! Joining us in 2019, will be dual Giro d’Italia Stage winner and former Australian sprint sensation, Matthew Goss as a host alongside O’Grady.
From Italy, we will transfer our efforts to France as our cycling vacations head for the ultimate cycling event of the year – The Tour de France. Mummu Cycling operate a number of varying tours throughout the TdF, ensuring the ideal experience for just about everyone. From the avid cyclist, to recreational rider or simply a Tour de France spectating enthusiast – champagne in hand, VIP live race viewing and all! Our 2019 line-up of Tour de France cycling vacations is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before, and have all been tentatively designed by 17x TdF rider himself, Stuart O’Grady.
To conclude our season superbly, we head across to Spain to run numerous cycling vacations in conjunction with La Vuelta Espana – the Tour of Spain. Stunning weather, terrain, spectacular end-of-season race entertainment and atmosphere inevitably ensure the trip of a lifetime. We have designed tours and experiences to optimise your time to ensure you view the best stages from live race locations, enjoy VIP zones and have the opportunity to conquer iconic Spanish mountains and terrain yourself, while you’re at it.
To add to our ‘race’ line-up, Mummu Cycling also offer cycling vacations solely training focussed and in 2019 will be including several different camps, Pro Weekends and programmes throughout the season in addition to our current product line.
