Day 1
Benvenuto
Mummu staff will greet you at Milan International airport this morning as we begin our tour. After a meet and greet we will transfer you to our accommodation in the heart of the Italian Alps.
Once checked in and settled, Mummu staff will put together your bikes before heading for a light ride to warm the legs up and iron out any issues on the bikes. As we ride along the valley floor this will provide amazing views of the surrounding mountains…. and days to come!!
We will come together for a group dinner to discuss the tour ahead in more detail.
Todays ride:- Easy – warm up ride, 30km

Day 2
Stage Finish in Bergamo
Today the race continues to make its way north towards the Italian Alps and the crucial mountain stages to come. Today is a stage for the sprinters as they make their way towards the town of Bergamo, we will bring you road side to see all the action of the final kilometres!
After breakfast we will ride towards the stage finish town of Bergamo, stopping for lunch on the way before seeing the finish of today’s stage. The final 40km of the course mimics the finish to the 2016 Lombardia course so we may see reining World Champion Peter Sagan or current Olympic Gold Medalist Greg Van Avermaat fight for the stage honors of today’s stage.
Today’s Ride: Rolling hills – 60-80km

Day 3
Mortirolo Pass
The Mortirolo pass is one of the most famous climbs in Giro history, despite not being used in the race until 1990. The peloton have a rest day today before tackling this mountain tomorrow, there is no rest for us as we will set off from our hotel after breakfast.
We will have a dozen or so kilometres to warm up the legs before we make our way into the town of Mazzo di Valtellina where the 12.5km climb to the summit begins. This is considered one of the hardest climbs in Italy as you will ascent 1,300m at an average of 10.5%. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Marco Pantani memorial on your way up!
Once we have completed the climb to the Mortirolo pass, we will descend down into the town of Edolo for lunch before making our way back to the hotel. You have the option to continue on the bike or transfer via van if your legs are done for the day!

Day 4
Stelvio Pass
Today is a big day for the Giro, and for us! As the riders get back on their bikes after the rest day they will be faced with a climb of the Mortirolo as well as a double ascent of the Stelvio Pass before finishing in Bormio.
We will have an early breakfast before transfering towards the base of the Bormio range. Upon arrival we will get on our bikes, the ride will start flat, but we will soon hit the base of the Stelvio climb which continues for 20km at an average of 7%. We will climb to an elevation of 2,757m above sea level – this is the highest paved road of the Eastern Alps and this years Cima Coppi (highest point in the race).
We will settle on the climb for lunch and wait as the riders make their way up the climb, no doubt we will see the GC favorites throw a few punches on the ascent to the summit!
At the conclusion of the stage we will transfer to our new hotel and enjoy dinner as a group

Day 5
Dolomites
After a late breakfast we will make our way down the valley towards the start of our ride. Those of you keen for the extra kms in the legs we will have an earlier departure as well.
Today we make our way into the Dolomites as we make our way over similar roads to what the pros will in a few days time! On the list today are the Gardena, Varlporola and Pordei passes. Although the overall distance is low, this will be a very challenging day on the bike, so we have several options to get off the bike early if required!
We will stop for lunch as a group along the way before heading back to our hotel in the afternoon for the evening at your leisure
Today’s ride: Challenging – 80km, including Gardena & Valparola passes. Also options for shorter ride

Day 6
Stage Depart in Moena
We will take a well deserved rest day off the bike. After breakfast we will check out of our hotel and make our way to the stage village of today’s stage in Moena. If you are still keen for a ride, there will be a group leaving early to ride to the departure village.
We will have the chance of seeing all the excitement behind the scenes of a stage start, then watching the race begin as it heads into the dolomites for the first time this year. We will stop for lunch before continuing to our next hotel.
In the afternoon we will check into our new hotel, giving you plenty of time to relax or stroll through town before we come together as a group for dinner

Day 7
Monte Grappa
Today we will tackle a similar course to what the pros will face tomorrow. We will set off on our ride after breakfast towards the towering Monte Grappa, a climb the pros will tackle in just over 24 hours time.
After breakfast we will set off from our hotel, making our way towards Caupo, the base of the climb to Monte Grappa. We will stop for a coffee and some food before making our way up the 28km climb to the summit, while it can we quite steep in parts, this climb will average 5% over the distance to the summit. You should have some energy to soak up the beautiful views as you climb!
Once at the summit, you will have time to appreciate the views as well as the World War 1 memorial before we will descend down the mountain as a group for lunch. If we time it right we can catch some of today’s stage on TV before we hop in the van to transfer back to our hotel.
Dinner will be at your leisure.

Day 8
Venice
We will check out of our hotel after breakfast, as we make our way back to Milan for the final stage of the Giro. After several tough days on the bike we will have an easier ride today as we make our way to Venice for an afternoon in this beautiful city before transferring to Milan.
You will have the opportunity to visit San Marcs Square, check out the markets on Rialtto bridge… but don’t get lost as we still need to make our way to Milan where the city will be a sea of pink as the Giro comes to a close tomorrow.
This evening will be yours to explore the delicious cuisine in Milan that has made it well known as one of the best places to eat in Italy!

Day 9
Giro Grand Finale
Today marks the final stage of the 100th edition of the Giro d’Italia and the final stage is a little different to normal, an individual time trial. This will ensure the winner of the Maglia Rosa won’t be known until the final ride of the day!
We will ensure you are roadside to see all the action – from the roads through the city to the finish line in the heart of the city! There is no better place to be as Italy will celebrate…. will we see Vincenzo Nibali make it two in a row??
We will head to dinner as group this evening as this will be our last night on tour. A great opportunity to relive an exciting tour that would have been full of memories!!

Day 10
Arrivederci
This morning marks the end of our tour. We will check out of our hotel after breakfast. Those of you who are leaving in Milan we will transfer you to the airport.
