Day 1
The Fun Begins!
This morning the Mummu Cycling staff will meet you at 11am in Basel. From there, we will transfer as a group to Gerardmer, via the stunning town of Colmar, where we will make a pit stop for a wine tasting. Old cobblestone roads line the town which has many Medieval, and early Renaissance buildings. It is situated right on the Alsace Wine Route with local vineyards well known for their incredible Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
From there we will make our way to our accommodation, near Gerardmer situated in the Vosges Mountains, to check in and prepare for a leisurely afternoon spin, enabling you to stretch the legs and enjoy the beautiful local surroundings.
We will conclude Day 1 with a group dinner and toast to what we’re sure will be a memorable experience full of gourmet food, award winning wine, stunning cycling and the Tour de France!

Day 1
The Fun Begins!
This morning the Mummu Cycling staff will meet you at 11am in Basel. From there, we will transfer as a group to Xonrupt-Longemer via the stunning town of Colmar where we will make a pit stop for a wine tasting. The old cobblestone filled town is lined with Medieval, and early Renaissance buildings. It is situated right on the Alsace Wine Route with the local vineyards well known for their incredible Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
From there, we will make our way to our accommodation in Xonrupt-Longemer, situated in the Vosges Mountains to check in. As our riding guests enjoy an afternoon ride, take some time to relax in the spa facilities at our hotel or head to the small town of Gerardmer or La Bresse and experience some of the local delicacies..
We will conclude Day 1 with a group dinner and toast to what we’re sure will be a memorable experience full of gourmet food, award winning wine, and the Tour de France!

Day 2
Stage Four Finale into Nancy
Today, you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to our ride start location in Gerbéviller. From there, we will ride into the Stage 4 finish in the charming riverfront city of Nancy. The ride will be mostly flat with a couple small climbs of 2-4km and a total elevation of 500m, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy the incredible French landscape.
Concluding the ride, we will have lunch and get settled into our premium viewing location at the finish line hospitality zone. Expect a tight, entertaining sprint finish as the world’s best go head to head. Count on incredible atmosphere, excited crowds + your first real taste of the spectacular Tour de France.
Following the Stage finish, we will travel back to our hotel to freshen up. The evening and dinner will be at your leisure, with transfers to the nearby towns of Xonrupt-Longemer and Gerardmer for plenty of incredible dinner options.

Day 2
Stage Four Finale into Nancy
Today, you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the Stage 4 finish in the charming riverfront city of Nancy. The drive will be stunning through numerous vineyards where we may stop for a quick wine tasting.
In Nancy we will meet our riding guests for lunch and get settled into our premium viewing location at the finish line hospitality zone. Expect a tight, entertaining sprint finish as the world’s best go head to head and count on incredible atmosphere, excited crowds + your first real taste of the spectacular Tour de France.
Following the Stage finish, we will travel back to our hotel to freshen up. The evening and dinner will be at your leisure, with transfers to the nearby towns of Xonrupt-Longemer and Gerardmer for plenty of incredible dinner options.

Day 3
Relais Etape
This morning will be a more relaxed start, allowing you a bit of a sleep-in and a later breakfast, before we transfer to our ride start location along Stage 5’s Tour de France route.
Today’s ride will be 50km and will take us to an incredible on-course, roadside location where you will enjoy the best of Tour de France VIP hospitality at the Relais Etape. Here, you will experience a gourmet five course lunch, paired with delicious French wine. Or perhaps enjoy a glass of champagne in hand as you kick back and watch the world’s biggest bike race fly by in pursuit of Stage 5 honours.
Concluding the Stage, we will return to our accommodation where dinner will be at your own leisure.

Day 3
Relais Etape
This morning will be a more relaxed start, allowing you a bit of a sleep-in and a later breakfast, before we take the opportunity to drive on the official Stage 5’s Tour de France route.
This afternoon we have an incredible roadside location where you will enjoy the best of Tour de France VIP hospitality at the Relais Etape. Here, you will experience a gourmet five course lunch, paired with delicious French wine. Or perhaps enjoy a glass of champagne in hand as you kick back and watch the world’s biggest bike race fly by in pursuit of Stage 5 honours.
Concluding the Stage, we will return to our accommodation in Xonrupt-Longemer where dinner will be at your own leisure.

Day 4
La Planche des Belles Filles
Today will be a true Tour de France spectacle and we’ll be right there, taking in the very best moments.
Enjoy a later breakfast, before preparing for today’s 40km group ride to the La Planche des Belles Filles climb, where today’s Tour de France Stage 6 summit finish lies. It will be the first summit finish of the race and will be nothing short of a real challenge. The 5.5km climb has been part of numerous previous Tour de France edition’s but for 2019, the organisers have taken it to a whole new level and included a final 1km dirt road section reaching up to gruelling 20% gradients!
We’ll be enjoying a group spin to the base, before tackling the climb ourselves, ahead of the race to get a real feel for what’s to come for the riders. We will then kick back atop in the official VIP TdF finish line hospitality zone, as we await the exciting summit finish to come – French canapés and beverages to enjoy while we wait!
Following the Stage finish, we will drive back to Xonrupt-Longemer and prepare for a group Michelin Star dinner to experience the very best food and wine from the region and top off an incredible day out at the Tour de France.

Day 4
La Planche des Belles Filles
Today will be a true Tour de France spectacle and we’ll be right there, taking in the very best moments.
Enjoy a later breakfast, before we drive on the official route through to La Planche des Belles Filles climb, where today’s Tour de France Stage 6 summit finish lies. It will be the first summit finish of the race and will be nothing short of a real challenge. The 5.5km climb has been part of numerous previous Tour de France edition’s but for 2019, the organisers have taken it to a whole new level and included a final 1km dirt road section reaching up to a gruelling 20% gradient!
At the top we will meet up with our riding guests who would have ridden this gruelling climb themselves before kicking back atop in the official VIP TdF finish line hospitality zone, as we await the exciting summit finish to come – French canapés and beverages to enjoy while we wait!
Following the Stage finish, we will drive back to Xonrupt-Longemer and prepare for a group Michelin Star dinner to experience the very best food and wine from the region and top off an incredible day out at the Tour de France.

Day 5
Departure Village
Today you will end your trip on a high by experiencing a Tour de France Stage depart.
We will start the day with an early breakfast and check-out before departing for our ride to the Stage 7 start in Belfort.
The ride will be 75km of rolling hills through the Alsace region including the 5.3km Ballon d’Alsace. At an average of 10% this is a challenging climbs but manageable and the view of both France and Germany atop the summit are well worth it.
Our ride will conclude at the Stage 7 departure village where you will have some time to embrace and soak up the atmosphere in the VIP Depart hospitality zone. Inside the village are stalls lined with Tour de France goodies, French canapés, coffee and wine to enjoy while you await the teams to arrive. You will then have the opportunity to walk through the official team bus area and mingle with riders, perhaps catching a snap or two and an autograph along the way. Follow your host Stuey’s guidance and we can almost guarantee it!
Following the Stage depart, we will transfer you to Basel before saying Bon Voyage! We trust you’ve had a fantastic tour with Mummu Cycling and hope to have you back with us again on future experiences.

Day 5
Departure Village
Today you will end your trip on a high by experiencing a Tour de France Stage depart.
We will start the day with an early breakfast and check-out before departing to the Stage 7 start in Belfort.
We will spend the morning in the Stage 7 departure village where you will have some time to embrace and soak up the atmosphere in the VIP Depart hospitality zone. Inside the village are stalls lined with Tour de France goodies, French canapés, coffee and wine to enjoy while you await the teams to arrive. You will then have the opportunity to walk through the official team bus area and mingle with riders, perhaps catching a snap or two and an autograph along the way.
