This is it! Our famous Cobbled Classics Tour hosted by none other than Stuart O’Grady. Let Stuart guide you through the cobbled sectors of Flanders and Roubaix whilst meeting some of his mates along the way including Eddy Merckx, Scott Sunderland, Karsten Kroon and more. Welcome

This morning the Mummu Cycling team will welcome you at Brussels airport between 10am and 12pm to assist with your direct train transfer to our accommodation at the Marriott Hotel in Ghent. Once checked in and settled in the hotel. We will ensure your bikes are set up before heading for a short ride to stretch the legs ahead of tomorrow’s Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo.

We will head to dinner as a group this evening, hosted by Stuart O’Grady. A great opportunity for us all to get to know one another and brief you on the exciting week ahead.

Day 2

Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo (Flanders Sportif)

After and early breakfast we will transfer you to Oundenarde, the start and finish location for the Ronde Van Vlaanderen Cyclo sportive ride. More than 10,000 people congregate on Oundenarde each year to take part in this event – creating a festival like atmosphere in town and almost professional like support throughout the race. Today is a unique opportunity to ride the similar course to the pros, taking on iconic cobbled climbs including the Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg.

Stuart will be on hand to give you a briefing and exclusive tips on how to tackle the cobbled bergs you’re about to take on! Once you have completed your chosen ride for the day we will spend the afternoon in Oundenarde enjoying the atmosphere and stalls at the exclusive fan zone located at the finish line to the sportive ride.

After a well-deserved Belgian beer and a bite to eat we will transfer back to our hotel where the evening will be at your leisure.

Tour of Flanders (Ronde Van Vlaanderen)

A day the entire country of Belgium stops for has arrived! The 102nd edition of the Tour of Flanders begins today from Antwerp and makes its way through the Flanders region and across the famous bergs of the region.

After breakfast this morning we will transfer you across to the course for all the action as you watch Niki Terpstra defend his title across the famous cobbles. We will join thousands of die hard cycling fans on the famous Oude Kwaremont as the race passes by three times.

After the race we will transfer you back to the hotel for dinner at your leisure. A great opportunity to stroll through historical old town Ghent and marvel in the beautiful architecture the city has to offer.

Day 4

Eddie Merckx

A later start this morning as we recover from an exciting few days. After breakfast this morning we will get on our bikes and explore the roads of Flanders past.

One of our stops in the afternoon will be the Flanders museum, the perfect place to relive the 103-year history of the race. Test your knowledge, learn all the facts of the iconic bergs or past winners of the race, perhaps if you still have the legs test yourself on the virtual bike simulator.

Following our ride this morning we have a special treat, an exclusive lunch and meeting with the greatest cyclist of all time, Eddy Merckx. As a close friend of Mummu Cycling, Eddie will share stories of his racing days and even give you some tips over this truly once in a lifetime experience.

Dinner at your leisure tonight before we head across the country tomorrow towards the Ardennes region.

Day 5

Mur de Huy

After breakfast this morning we will check out of our hotel in Ghent and begin our transfer to Liege, town of one of the famous Ardennes races, Liege-Bastogne-Liege.

Before getting there, we will have our first opportunity to ride the roads of the Ardennes Classics. We will cover the final stages of the 2018 Fleche Wallone course, including the famous Mur de Huy and experience the challenging gradients in this part of Belgium.

The Mur de Huy (in English translate to the wall of Huy) has become famous as the finishing stretch of the Fleche Wallone course, the pros tackle it 3 times, the final ascent in an uphill sprint for victory. It’s only 1.2km in length but it climbs over 120m in elevation. If you have time to sight, see on your way up be sure to check out the seven chapels along the way!

In the afternoon we will check into our hotel and head to dinner as a group.

Day 6

La Doyenne

Our second day exploring the famous roads of the Ardennes classics. This morning it is ‘La Doyenne’ or Liege Bastogne Liege, one of the first of the five cycling monuments, first ran all the way back in 1892. For classics fans this race is almost as big as the Tour de France – a must on the bucket list of classics rides!

We will set off from our hotel after breakfast, making our way towards Spa – the original start and finish location of the race and yes, it is where the term for medicinal baths comes from. This Belgium town is one of the country’s major tourist cities, made famous for the mineral springs, home of the first casino and it also hosts the Belgian Formula One Grand Prix each year.

From Spa we will intersect the 2017 Liege Bastogne Liege course, making our way across the final challenging climbs including the Cote de la Roche and the Cote de la Redoute. The later another of the short sharp 10% climbs these classics are famous for.

This evening is at your leisure to explore the city Liege.

Today’s ride: 80-90km rolling hills on the 2018 Liege Bastogne Liege course – includes some tough short climbs.

Day 7

Maastricht – Amstel Gold

Today is our final day in the Ardennes region. We will be making our way across the border into the Netherlands to tackle the Amstel Gold course.

After breakfast this morning we will transfer by van to Vaalkenberg, where we will begin our ride for the day. We will cover many parts of last year’s Amstel Gold course, like the pros we will tackle a few of the climbs of the race that come inside the final 45km, including the famous Cauberg climb were the race has finished a top since 2003 – it’s only 700m long but at an average of 8%, with the steepest pinch at over 20%.

We will spend the afternoon in Vaalkenberg, at the foot of the Cauberg where there are many shops and local restaurants to keep us entertained for the afternoon before making our way back to Liege. This evening’s dinner at will be at your leisure.

Cobbles of Northern France

We will check out of our hotel and transfer by van to the Valenciennes region in Northern France where we will get our first taste of the cobbles of Paris Roubaix. We will test our legs on the challenging surface – taking in some of the cobbled sectors of the famous classic.

Be sure to pick Stuart’s brain on what to expect on the cobbled roads of the French countryside as they differ greatly from those in Flanders. You’ll be doing a recon of key cobbled sections for tomorrow’s ride.

Following our ride Stuart has made special arrangements to be able to take us all into the famous Roubaix showers, this is a privilege reserved only for past winners.

En route to our new hotel we will stop off for an exclusive Pro Team meet and greet with one of Stu’s old teams. We’ll hear their thoughts on Sunday’s race and get an insight into the team’s race plan and strategies.

We will then make our way to our accommodation in Kortrijk for dinner as a group. Over dinner Stuart will again give you a ride briefing and tips as you prepare to tackle the Forrest of d’Arenberg and other cobbled sectors of the Paris-Roubaix course.

Roubaix Challenge Ride

Today is one of the highlights of the tour! Ride Paris-Roubaix Challenge alongside Stuart O’Grady.

It is your opportunity to ride the very course the pros will tackle in only 24 hours’ time. You’ll ride the famous cobbled roads of northern France, including iconic sectors Mons-en-Pevele, Carrefour de l’Aarbe and of course the d’Arenberg Forest all under the guidance of 2007 winner, Stuart O’Grady!

Following breakfast, we will transfer you by van to the start of the Paris-Roubaix Challenge ride in Roubaix. After a tough 145km or 70km ride you will finish your ride in the famous Roubaix velodrome! Following the sportive we will have the opportunity to visit the Paris-Roubaix museum.

We will then return to Kortrijk for dinner at your leisure. As you will have noticed there will be several Pro Teams staying with us at the Parkhotel, so you may wish reserve dinner there!

Today’s ride: 145km / 70km – Paris Roubaix Sportive ride. Includes finishing the ride into the famous Roubaix velodrome

Day 10

The Hell of the North!

The day has arrived. The Queen of the Classics takes place today! After the excitement of Peter Sagan’s 2018 victory Bora–Hansgrohe will be looking to make it back to back victories or will be upstaged by the force of Quickstep? 2019 is sure to delight as the Hell of the North is well known for throwing up the odd surprise or two. Just ask your host Stuart!!

Our Mummu staff will ensure you are right there in the thick of the action as the peloton make their way from Compiegne to the famous Roubaix velodrome. Stuart will be on hand to give his insights and thoughts on the race.

We will make our way to mythical Trouée d’Arenberg to secure our place roadside to watch the peoloton race over the train lines and into the narrow cobbled roads. Following the final rider, our VIP accredited vans will drive through roadblocks and onto the course towards the veledrome where we will take our place inside the Official VIP Hospitality on the first corner.  Our VIP hospitality includes an open bar and lunch, live broadcast of the race on multiple screens and access to the velodrome lawn after the finish. Our 2018 guests were close enough to shake Sagan’s hand!

After seeing the 2019 Paris Roubaix champion crowned we will make our way back to our accommodation for our final night. We will head to dinner as a group to celebrate the past 10 days exciting adventures!!

Today marks the end of our 2019 Cobbled Classics Tour with Stuart O’Grady.

Following breakfast, it is time to check out of our hotel. Mummu staff will have a transfer vehicle waiting for you to transport you back to Brussels airport.
