2025 Santos Tour Down Under – 7 Day Experience

Welcome to Adelaide and the start of seven days of Santos Tour Down Under excitement – get ready for fun and adventure!

Upon your arrival at Adelaide Airport, the Mummu Cycling team will greet you at 11am and transfer you to our 5-star accommodation in the heart of the Adelaide CBD. Once you’ve checked in and settled, our team will help set up your bikes for an optional short afternoon ‘warm-up’ ride to get your legs ready for the big days ahead!

After the ride, take some time to freshen up before we regroup in the hotel foyer and head to one of Adelaide’s finest local restaurants for a Group welcome dinner. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel to rest up for the exciting day ahead.

Today we are headed for the Adelaide hills to the beautiful town of Gumeracha to watch the pros cross the finish line of stage 1 of the TDU.

After breakfast, we will kit up for our 60km ride through the Adelaide Hills. We’ll ride up Norton Summit then on to Lobethal and we’ll then ride the last 26km on the race course to Gumuracha. Once we have arrived at our end destination, there will be a chance to refresh and change before we head to a local restaurant for a well deserved lunch. Here we will also have prime spot for stage viewing!

It’s the first stage finish in Santos Tour Down Under history for Gumeracha, with the peloton to pass through the town twice and return for a furious push to the finish line.

After what promises to be an exciting day out, we’ll transfer back to our hotel – or for those of you who want to clock a few more kms, there will also be an optional opportunity to ride back to the hotel. The evening will then be yours to explore Adelaide and enjoy dinner at leisure.

Today, we’ll head to Tanunda to catch stage 2! Nestled in Adelaide’s stunning Barossa region, Tanunda offers the perfect backdrop for an exciting day.

After a nutritious breakfast, we’ll embark on today’s ride through the picturesque Barossa Valley, with its rolling hills and vineyards. Our route will cover sections of the challenging course, giving you a preview of what the pros will face in stage 2! The ride will lead us directly into Tanunda, where you can freshen up and enjoy lunch at Tanunda Hotel as we await the peloton’s thrilling finish.

Once the excitement of the high-speed first stage winds down, we’ll transfer you back to the hotel, where the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

We’d highly recommend grabbing a bite in town and visiting one of the many great little bars hidden all over the city.

Today, we’ll be heading to Summertown to ride the Stage 3 loop!

After breakfast, we’ll transfer to Summertown where we’ll ride the 38km racecourse loop – for those feeling energetic, you’ll have the opportunity to ride it twice! Upon completing the ride, we’ll pitch up roadside in the Mummu marquee for a picnic lunch and refreshments and we’ll get a chance to witness the thrilling race as the peloton passes by three times! Enjoy a delicious lunch as you watch the pros battle it out for the lead, just ahead of the final weekend stages.

After what promises to be an exhilarating stage 3 finale, we’ll transfer back to the hotel for an evening at your leisure.

This morning, we will enjoy an early breakfast before a relaxed early morning 30km ride. We’ll head out to the beach-side suburb of Glenelg to the race start line for an exclusive walkthrough. Soak in the atmosphere from inside the gates where an event chaperon will collect us and walk us through the start grid where you’ll see all the team staff and mechanics getting ready ahead of today’s big stage. We’ll then have a chance to watch the pros set off before riding back to the hotel to freshen up.

We’ll then head out to a local winery for lunch, where we will enjoy a wine tasting featuring the best that South Australia has to offer.

Following a great day out together, the evening will be yours to relax and to explore Adelaide at your leisure.

Today, the peloton will make its way to the iconic Willunga Hill!

After breakfast, our riding guests will embark on their own journey, joining the 60km pilgrimage to Willunga town! This has become something of a legacy endeavour for Mummu TDU riders so stay hydrated and lean on our experienced staff for all the support you need! After you’ve had a chance to cool off and freshen up after we arrive in town, we’ll be settling in for a roadside lunch and refreshments at the Old Bush Inn.

Enjoy a delightful lunch and beverages from our prime veranda view, located directly on course in town. For the first time in the history of the Santos Tour Down Under, the pros will descend Willunga Hill before heading to the coast, then returning for two climbs up Willunga Hill. Old Bush Inn will have live broadcasts of the race as it unfolds so we’ll follow on as the peloton battle fiercely to see who will be crowned the winner of Stage 5!

After an exhilarating day, we’ll head back to the hotel for a relaxing evening at your leisure.

We’re in for an amazing conclusion to an incredible week of racing.

With no ride scheduled for today, you can take your time during breakfast before checking out of the hotel. We’ll assist you in packing up your bikes and preparing for your departure. Next, we’ll walk to the VIP event hospitality located right on the racecourse in town! Here, you will enjoy a VIP experience, complete with snacks and an open bar for drinks. There’s no better way to witness the final stage of the 2025 Tour Down Under than from this exclusive spot!

After a thrilling finale, we’ll head back to the hotel and get ready to transfer you to the airport and bid you farewell!
