Day 1
Buongiorno - Welcome to Italy!


























































Welcome to Italy and the start of your 2022 Giro d’Italia experience!
The Mummu Cycling team will collect you from Bergamo airport or train station this morning before transferring you approximately 1 hour to our premium accommodation at the Grand Hotel Presolana.
On arrival, take some time to check-in and settle before regathering for a welcome brief discussing the day and the week to come! Afterwards, the Mummu staff will assist with bike assembling and fittings ahead of this afternoon’s warm-up ride.
Pre-ride enjoy some time out to grab a spot of lunch at your leisure before meeting up for ride time!
Today you will be led out by your pro host (a former professional cycling star) and our team of experienced ride guides who will be cruising at a nice ‘warm-up’ pace, just enough to spin the legs out post travel and to get familiar with the group and our surrounds. Our ride will end at a pro team’s hotel where you will enjoy the exclusive opportunity of meeting a pro team on the final Giro rest day!
Mummu Cycling has a long history of great relationships and connections within the sport thanks to our partner, Stuart O’Grady. This afternoon’s experience will allow you to truly take a step into the race’s inner sanctum as you meet some of the team staff and if you’re lucky – some riders, to chat all things Giro…how the race has been going for them so far and what they predict will happen in the final week. You will also get to take a look behind the scenes to find out exactly what a pro team gets up to on a Grand Tour rest day and the countless hours of hard work the staff put in to ensure the riders are ready to go again the next day!
Following an insightful visit and some new photos for the memory books, we will transfer back to the hotel.
After taking some time to relax and freshen up we will meet up for this evening’s group welcome dinner to toast to what we expect will be a fantastic week ahead absorbing the best of the Giro d’Italia’s final week!

Day 1
Buongiorno - Welcome to Italy!
Welcome to Italy and the start of your 2022 Giro d’Italia experience!
The Mummu Cycling team will collect you from Bergamo airport or train station this morning before transferring you approximately 1 hour to our premium accommodation at the Grand Hotel Presolana.
On arrival, take some time to check-in and settle before regathering for a welcome brief discussing the day and the week to come!
Afterwards, you will have some free time to relax at the hotel and make the most of its great facilities, including; a Turkish bath, sauna and an indoor pool. Alternatively, we can transfer you a short 3.5km to the charming local village of Castione della Presolana where you can enjoy some time to explore and grab a spot of lunch at your leisure.
Following some down time or exploring, we will transfer you to a pro team’s hotel where you will enjoy the exclusive opportunity of meeting a pro team on the final Giro rest day!

Day 2
Ride the iconic Mortirolo Pass!

















































































































































Today you will take your first real dive into the Giro d’Italia race action and what better way to do so than heading straight for the mountains! Today’s Stage 16 route is absolutely brutal as the pros face a relentless 200km day including three huge mountain passes, with the mighty Mortirolo tantalisingly lying in the middle.
Following a big breakfast, we will take a short transfer to our ride starting point approximately 30km out from the base of the Mortirolo. From there, the Mummu guides will lead the way along scenic roads on route to the climb. Enjoy the calm before the storm! On arrival to climb, you will have the opportunity to ride as fast or as gently as your legs so desire. Keep in mind that our support team will never be far out of sight offering mechanical assistance, ride nutrition, water and electrolytes to keep you fuelled to reach the summit! As you make your way up, be sure to take in the incredible mountain atmosphere as lines of excited fans will no doubt be lining the slopes of the epic climb awaiting the peloton.
The Mortirolo is 12.6km long with an average gradient of 7.6%. No easy feat, but achievable if you put your mind to it!
At the summit, replenish your efforts with a snack and a cool drink while we wait for all of our riders. Once we have everyone, we will descend down the other side of the climb and take a short cut right through to the finish, giving us enough time to settle in at the finish area before witnessing the thrill of it live!
After facing the Mortirolo, the pros will also tackle the Santa Cristina climb before flying into the finish in Aprica. If one thing’s for certain – it’s going to be an absolutely thrilling battle and you will be right there to witness the courageous Stage winner claim honours for the day.
*While you await the finish, there will be time to change, freshen up and take lunch at your leisure downtown.
Following a huge day out, we will transfer back to the hotel. The evening will then be yours free to explore our beautiful local surrounds or alternatively, relax, put the feet up and unwind!

Day 2
Ride the iconic Mortirolo Pass!
Today you will take your first real dive into the Giro d’Italia race action and what better way to do so than heading straight for the mountains! Today’s Stage 16 route is absolutely brutal as the pros cover a relentless 200km day including three huge mountain passes, with the mighty Mortirolo tantalisingly lying in the middle.
Following breakfast, we will transfer to the Stage 16 race route where you will be escorted up the 12.6km Mortirolo, averaging 7.6% – your chance to see for yourself just how tough the pros have it at the Giro! As you make your way up, be sure to take in the incredible mountain atmosphere as lines of excited fans will no doubt be lining the slopes of the epic climb awaiting the peloton. We will then continue on right through to the finish in Aprica.
While you await the finish, there will be time to explore downtown, enjoy the Giro festivities and take lunch at your leisure.
After facing the Mortirolo, the pros will also tackle the Santa Cristina climb before flying into the finish. If one thing’s for certain – it’s going to be an absolutely thrilling battle and you will be right there to witness the courageous Stage winner claim honours for the day.
Following a huge day out, we will transfer back to the hotel. The evening will then be yours free to explore our beautiful local surrounds or alternatively, relax, put the feet up and unwind!

Day 3
Experience the Stage 17 Start from the Official Start Village




















































































































This morning enjoy a nutritious breakfast before checking out. We will then transfer 80km to today’s Stage 17 start in Ponte di Legno where you will have exclusive access to the Official Giro d’Italia Start Village.
This is a privileged experience we are able to enjoy thanks to our Premium Tour Operator status, ensuring you have the opportunity to lap up the best of the pre-race atmosphere within very close proximity to the pros preparing.
Enjoy snacks and Italian coffee while watching the riders sign-on for the Stage ahead. You may even get the opportunity to meet some of the riders, or get close enough to take some snaps of your favourite team’s and pros!
You will then watch the excitement of the Stage start as the peloton rolls out for yet another challenging day on the radar.
After the start, there will be time to enjoy a spot of lunch at your leisure to ensure you are fuelled and ready to go for today’s ride, including a nice dose of the Italian Alps!
We will transfer 20km to today’s ride starting point in Mezzana. From there, it will be time to kit up and get set for a challenging, yet incredibly scenic adventure as your pro host leads the way on a 90km ride on route to our next hotel destination in Trento.
The key feature of the ride includes the Passo Marivella – a 7.5km climb that averages a testing 8.4% with its steepest section reaching a leg zapping 20.7%. Rest assured – today you will have no pressure as we won’t be on the race route, so try your best to enjoy the challenge and reap the incredible rewards at the top! We will stop as often as needed to snack and hydrate.
On arrival to our new modern accommodation at the Hotel NH Trento, check-in and enjoy some time-out to relax and freshen up, or alternatively join the group to watch the Stage finish together over a deserved beverage!
This evening, we will regather to enjoy a group dinner, raising our glasses to another top day on tour.

Day 3
Experience the Stage 17 Start from the Official Start Village
This morning enjoy a nutritious breakfast before checking out. We will then transfer 80km to today’s Stage 17 start in Ponte di Legno where you will have exclusive access to the Official Giro d’Italia Start Village.

We will be primly positioned, within close walking distance to the humming Piazza Duomo where the stunning Trento Cathedral sits, featuring a rose window and a baroque chapel. In addition to the incredible Renaissance building – the Casa Cazuffi-Rella.
This evening, we will regather to enjoy a group dinner, raising our glasses to another top day on tour.

Day 4
Ride along the Stage 18 Race Route!























































































This morning enjoy a good breakfast before checking out.
It will then be time to kit up for today’s ride adventure straight from the hotel. Be sure to put your day bag in the support vehicles, including all the essentials you will need for today!
Today you will be riding 30km to the Stage Start in Treviso’s Borgo Valsugana. We will make a pitstop at the start before starting our ride along the Stage 18 race route that will include a Category 4 climb: the Le scale di Primoano, that lies soon after the 20km mark along the course. At only just over 2km in length, it will no doubt be a breeze compared to your efforts over the past few days. Enjoy some respite while it’s here and take in the incredible scenery, and the race atmosphere!
It will then be time to kick back at the Mummu Marquee roadside to enjoy a picnic lunch while awaiting the pros who will soon enough blitz by us showing us how it’s done. Get set to cheer on your favourite riders!
Following a nice dose of live race action, we will transfer a short 20km to our next hotel destination at the Wine Hotel San Giacomo, a beautiful premium wellness hotel nestled within the glorious Prosecco Hills of Treviso.
On arrival, the rest of the afternoon and evening will be at your leisure to kick back and watch the Stage finish together over a glass of prosecco at the hotel bar, relax and make the most of the hotel wellness facilities or explore our mesmeric surrounds.

Day 4
Ride along the Stage 18 Race Route!
This morning enjoy a relaxed breakfast before checking out.
We will then transfer you 30km to to the Stage start in Treviso’s Borgo Valsugana. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the start festivities and explore downtown before we transfer on to meet up with the riders at the Mummu Marquee positioned at a great location along the Stage 18 race route.
On arrival, settle in over a picnic lunch while awaiting the pros who will soon enough blitz by us showing us how it’s done. Get set to cheer on your favourite riders!
Following a nice dose of live race action, we will transfer a short 20km to our next hotel destination at the Wine Hotel San Giacomo, a beautiful premium wellness hotel nestled within the glorious Prosecco Hills of Treviso.
The rest of the afternoon and evening will be at your leisure to kick back and watch the Stage finish together over a glass of prosecco at the hotel bar, relax and make the most of the hotel wellness facilities or explore our mesmeric surrounds.

Day 5
Ride the iconic Monte Grappa or Visit Bassano del Grappa

















































































































































After gourmet breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself for a solid ride adventure! Today we will take a step away from the race madness and enjoy a day of riding bikes and exploring our stunning surrounds.
Conveniently, our hotel is located right near the foot of the truly iconic Monte Grappa climb – an absolute must tick off your bucket list! Not only for its memorable Giro d’italia appearances over the years and popularity around the world, but its significant history as a World War I battleground.
The climb offers an incredible 9 paved routes to the top. Today, you will be tackling the beast via Semonzo: 19km at 8.1%, climbing up to a big 1745m! So, if you haven’t already worn your legs out, today’s almost certainly the day!
Despite being a challenge, this climb is truly mythical, offering beautiful scenery and a whole lot of history. Grit your teeth, enjoy the experience of riding an iconic Italian ascent, and enjoy the amazing views on display.
At the summit, there will be opportunity to explore the incredibly unique military memorial, before regathering to replenish your efforts over a cool beverage and a well deserved picnic lunch.
Following some photo opportunities and enough time to regather your energy, we will descend back down to the hotel.
The afternoon and evening will be at your leisure to either watch the final phase of the Stage together at the hotel or get exploring!

Day 5
Ride the iconic Monte Grappa or Visit Bassano del Grappa
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and a relaxed morning, we will transfer you to the elegant town of Bassano del Grappa! Today we will take a step away from the race madness to enjoy a day playing tourist, exploring our stunning surrounds.
Bassano del Grappa is a charming town located in the Veneto region, offering an array of amazing historical sites to explore, including the Ponte Vecchio ‘Old Bridge’ and the famous Poli Grappa museum. To add, the town is well known for its distinct world-famous grappa liquer, its amazing range of locally produced ceramics and its beautiful clothing and furniture boutiques, ensuring plenty to see and do!
Today, we will be enjoying a guided tour of the Poli Grappa museum to learn about the incredible history of distillation and of their ever-famous Grappa. Throughout the tour, you will also get to enjoy a tasting of the unique Poli distillates – if you so desire.
After the tour, you will have free time to explore the town, picking and choosing the top spots you would like to visit or alternatively, hit the shops or enjoy an amazing Italian lunch!
On arrival back to the hotel, the evening will be yours free to either watch the final phaseof the Stage together at the hotel or continue exploring.

Day 6
Experience the Final Summit Finish of the Race from VIP Hospitality up the Passo Fedaia!




















































































































This morning enjoy a decent breakfast ahead of another big day on the radar! Today you will get to experience the very best of Giro d’Italia mountain madness and the final battle of this year’s race as we make our way to the Passo Fedaia – where the penultimate Stage summit finish lies!
Once again, the peloton will face a highly challenging route featuring a succession of three epic climbs, closing out the climbing of the 2022 race in true Giro fashion!
After breakfast and checkout, we will transfer 40km to our ride starting point, around 25km from the base of the climb. Our guides will then lead the way over rolling roads through to the climb where a 14km battle lies ahead with an average gradient of 7.6%.
Today will be incredibly special as the very last climb of the race! Expect truly surreal atmosphere as you (hopefully) glide your way up to the top. Remember that this is your last climb of the tour, so give it everything!
At the top, you will have the chance to cross the official finish line and strike your best pose atop the winners podium! This is an exclusive opportunity we are able to enjoy as a Premium Tour Operator.
Following your moment in the spotlight, take some time to freshen up and change before making your way to VIP finish line hospitality and it won’t get much better than today’s thrilling summit finish!
Here you will be treated to unlimited canapés and beverages while watching the Stage 20 action on big screen televisions as the peloton draw closer and closer to their final hurdle of the race.
You will then be able to witness the mountain magic from the very best seat in the house, where you will be able to see the exhilarating finish from a stones throw away.
After what we expect will be a truly surreal experience lapping up the best of the penultimate Stage action from hospitality, we will have a 200km transfer right through to Verona where the Grand Finale awaits us.
On arrival to our 5* accommodation at the Hotel NH Collection Palazzo Verona, there will be a group dinner to share a toast to a memorable day out at the Giro d’Italia!

Watch the Final Stage 21 Time Trial from VIP Lounge Hospitality


























































After a huge day out yesterday, you can enjoy a nice relaxed start to the day today. Sleep in and enjoy breakfast in your own time.
Later morning we will then roll out on bikes from the hotel on a cruisy ride around the 17km time trial course that travels from Verona centre around its scenic outskirts.
Now is your chance to find out exactly what’s in store for the pros later this afternoon as they battle it out against the clock for the last time! At the finish, you will have another opportunity to cross the official line and stand on the winners podium for one last celebratory snap!
Once back at the hotel, enjoy some time to yourself before we make our way to VIP Lounge Hospitality located at a prime point along the course, allowing you to witness the very best of the final Stage in style! Here you will enjoy unlimited canapés and drinks while watching every rider fly right by us within very close distance. Embrace the lively final Stage atmosphere and cheer to your heart’s content!
After the excitement of witnessing the 2022 Giro d’Italia come to a spectacular close, this evening there will be a final group farewell dinner. A chance to get together one last time to share stories of the week and cheers to what we hope has been a fantastic trip.

Watch the Final Stage 21 Time Trial from VIP Lounge Hospitality
After a huge day out yesterday, you can enjoy a nice relaxed start to the day today. Sleep in and enjoy breakfast in your own time.
Later morning you will have the option to join a guided walking tour of Verona, so famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Enjoy some time exploring the beautiful medieval city of love!
Once back at the hotel, take some time to yourself before we make our way to VIP Lounge Hospitality located at a prime point along the course, allowing you to witness the very best of the final Stage in style! Here you will enjoy unlimited canapés and drinks while watching every rider fly right by us within very close distance. Embrace the lively final Stage atmosphere and cheer to your heart’s content!
After the excitement of witnessing the 2022 Giro d’Italia come to a spectacular close, this evening there will be a final farewell group dinner. A chance to get together one last time to share stories of the week and cheers to what we hope has been a fantastic trip.

After breakfast and check-out, the Mummu Cycling team will transfer you to the Valerio Catullo Airport or the Verona Porta Nuova train station before saying our goodbyes. We trust that you have had a great week experiencing the Giro d’Italia and hope to have you back on tour with us again soon.
