The Mummu Cycling team will meet you mid afternoon at Gare de Caen train station for your transfer to the elegant 4-star Hôtel Mercure Caen Centre Port de Plaisance, perfectly situated in Caen’s historic centre.

Once settled, join us in the dedicated bike room where our team will welcome you and assist with bike setup. Afterward, enjoy lunch at your leisure in one of the city’s charming cafes before discovering Caen’s remarkable heritage.

As William the Conqueror’s birthplace and one of France’s oldest university towns, Caen brims with history along the River Orne. Visit the magnificent Château de Caen, the Conqueror’s 11th-century fortress, perched above the city between the stunning Romanesque abbeys of Saint-Étienne and Sainte-Trinité. Don’t miss Le Mémorial, one of Europe’s finest World War II museums, offering a compelling chronicle of the Battle of Normandy and beyond.

Cap off your day with a welcome dinner at a selected local restaurant, where you’ll bond with fellow cycling enthusiasts over superb French cuisine while anticipating the Tour excitement ahead.

Our morning starts with a gentle 1.5-hour ride exploring Caen’s outskirts, accompanied by our ride guides and mechanic in the support vehicle to ensure your bike is perfectly tuned. After returning to refresh at the hotel, we’ll head out to watch the pros in action.

Experience the Tour’s finest hospitality at the Relais Étape, an exclusive venue accessible through our Official Tour Operator status. From this premium vantage point along Stage 5’s challenging 33km individual time trial course around Caen, you’ll enjoy a sophisticated multi-course lunch complemented by regional wines while following the race on large screens. When your favourite riders approach, step roadside to witness their incredible speed and power up close.

Once the time trial concludes, we’ll return to the hotel for an evening at your leisure. Consider dining in the charming Vaugueux quarter, known for its excellent restaurants serving local specialties like veal and pré salé lamb.

Begin your day with breakfast before gearing up in your Mummu kit for a privileged experience reserved for Official Tour Operator guests. You’ll start from Stage 6’s official start line in Bayeux – marking the town’s historic debut as a Tour de France host.

Following a 1.5-hour ride, we’ll lead you to our exclusive viewing location where the Mummu marquee offers a welcoming spread of picnic fare and cold drinks. After watching the peloton pass, we’ll take a drive to see the world-famous Mont St Michel and it’s Gothic-style Benedictine abbey. It is the most-visited tourist attraction in France outside of Paris and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Spend your final evening in Caen at your leisure, exploring the city’s dining scene. Experience the rich flavours of Normandy not only at Caen’s outstanding restaurants but also at the charming street-side crêperies and pâtisseries.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before checking out and donning your Mummu cycling gear. We’ll transport you to a prime location along Stage 7’s route, where you’ll get to tackle the legendary Côte de Mûr-de-Bretagne, famously known as the “Wall of Brittany.”

Your ride today features special company – cycling icon Stuart O’Grady, whose remarkable Tour de France career spans 17 appearances and includes two stage wins, two Team Time Trial victories, and stints wearing the prestigious Yellow Jersey. Experience the thrill of riding with Stuart through the Flamme Rouge barriers to cross the official finish line, followed by an exclusive photo session with him on the Stage 7 winners’ podium!

The excitement continues as we enter the exclusive VIP Izoard hospitality near the finish line. Here, you’ll enjoy unlimited beverages and delectable French canapés while watching the race unfold on large screens. Your premium viewing position offers a perfect spot to witness the professionals tackle their double ascent of the Côte de Mûr-de-Bretagne as they sprint to the finish.

Following this memorable Tour experience, we’ll escort you to our new accommodation in Saint Launeuc, where a delightful group dinner awaits.

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before we journey to Saint-Méen-le-Grand to experience Stage 8’s departure. Thanks to our prestigious Tour Operator credentials, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to the Official Tour de France Departure Village with Stuart as your guide.

Immerse yourself in the village’s vibrant atmosphere, centred around the signing-in podium where cyclists officially check in for the stage. While savouring local treats and refreshments, you’ll witness the pre-race buzz firsthand. In the adjacent team paddock, observe elite cyclists making their final preparations at their team buses.

Stuart’s insider perspective and connections offer unique opportunities to spot cycling celebrities up close as they ready themselves for the day’s challenge. You’ll be perfectly positioned to soak in all the Departure Village excitement and pre-race rituals.

After watching the exhilarating stage start, we’ll head out on a scenic three-hour ride back to the hotel. The afternoon is yours to unwind and relax at the property. Catch the remainder of the day’s relatively flat stage to Laval Espace Mayenne on TV, where sprinters will battle for victory.

We’ll cap off this memorable experience with a special farewell dinner hosted by Stuart O’Grady.
