Day 1

Welcome to Provence

Welcome to Provence and the start of your Tour de France adventure!

This morning, the Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Avignon-Provence airport/train station to collect and transfer you to our incredible accommodation at Le Chateau de Mazan – a stunning, 18th century Chateau where we will be based for the tour’s duration.

On arrival, take some time to check-in and freshen up. Our team will then assist you with unpacking and setting up bikes.

This afternoon, you will enjoy a short, scenic ride led out by former pro cycling legend and you tour host for the trip, Stuart O’Grady. He will guide you around the beautiful vineyard-dotted surrounds of Avignon to get a feel for the area and spin the legs following travel.

On arrival back to the Chateau, we’ll watch the Stage 3 finish excitement together, before freshening up ahead of this evening’s lavish 4 course fine dining experience, paired with divine local wines…the perfect combination to tee off our trip on a high and toast to what we’re confident will be a fabulous 5 days on tour!

Welcome to Provence

Welcome to Provence and the start of your Tour de France adventure!

This morning, our Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Avignon-Provence airport/train station to collect and transfer you to our incredible accommodation at Le Chateau de Mazan – a stunning, 18th century Chateau where we will be based for the tour’s duration.

On arrival, take some time to check-in and freshen up. The afternoon will be yours to relax, watch the Stage 3 action and/or explore our gorgeous surroundings.

This evening, we will regroup to enjoy a lavish 4 course fine dining experience, paired with divine local wines…the perfect combination to tee off our trip on a high and toast to what we’re confident will be a fabulous 5 days on tour!

Day 2

Conquer Mont Ventoux!

This morning, enjoy a decent breakfast as the mighty Mont Ventoux is on the horizon!

Mont Ventoux literally means ‘Windy Mountain’ and the name speaks for itself. To add – it has been nicknamed by many as ‘The Bald Mountain’ due to its interesting, barren Provencal landscape.

The lengthy climb travels up to 1912m and is widely known throughout the cycling world as being a real physical challenge. Tough, yes but the elation and incredible feeling atop will certainly make it all the more worth it…

You’ll be setting out nice and early on a 58km loop, to allow plenty of time to tackle the climb in your own time. Our Mummu Cycling support team, including Stuey, will be out there with you on the road from start to finish, providing assistance where needed.

Atop, it’ll be time for a much deserved breather and picnic lunch before enjoying rewarding yourself with the descent down the other side!

This afternoon, take some time to recover and relax before we set off for a Provence flavours experience that will have you indulging in some much deserved local produce and appetisers.

The evening will then be at your leisure to explore and enjoy our idyllic surroundings.

Day 2

Conquer Mont Ventoux!

June 30, 2020

This morning, following breakfast and a relaxed morning you will transfer to the mighty Tour de France-famous Mont Ventoux, which literally means ‘Windy Mountain’ and the name speaks for itself…To add – it has been nicknamed by many as ‘The Bald Mountain’ due to its interesting, barren Provencal landscape.

The lengthy climb travels up to 1912m and is widely known throughout the cycling world as being a real test and a spectacle to add, with its incredibly unique backdrop.

You’ll reconnect with our riding contingent at the summit and perhaps give them a cheer of much needed support as they battle their way up. Atop, it’ll be time for a group picnic lunch before making our way back to the Chateau.

This afternoon, take some time to relax before we set off for a Provence flavours experience that will have you indulging in some much deserved local produce and appetisers.

The evening will then be at your leisure to explore and enjoy our idyllic surroundings.

See Stage 5 LIVE + Tour de France hospitality at its best!

Today, we will well and truly take a step into the Tour de France bubble! Bring on a day of action and adventure…

Following breakfast, we will transfer via vehicles to our ride starting point for the day along the Stage 5 race route. You will then ride 60km along the official course, that travels along a rolling route with stunning scenery to pair.

Soon enough, you’ll arrive to our race viewing location for today at the Relais Etape, located mid-stage.

The Relais Etape is an exclusive hospitality experience, offering a real day of ‘special treatment’ that will have you sitting down to a divine three course long-lunch, paired with unlimited delicious local French wine, while watching the Stage 5 action from big screen entertainment, amidst some star-studded company, in the form of past Tour de France contenders.

As the mood continues to rise, you’ll soon see the peloton fly by seemingly effortlessly, where you’ll by then be glowing with excitement, chanting support at your favourite riders and embracing the lively atmosphere that surrounds.

Concluding a huge day out riding and in hospitality, we will transfer back to the Chateau where the evening will be yours to unwind and relax or explore.

See Stage 5 LIVE + Tour de France hospitality at its best!

Today, we will well and truly take a step into the Tour de France bubble! Bring on a day of action and adventure…

Following breakfast, we will transfer via vehicles to our race viewing location for today at the Relais Etape, located mid-stage.

The Relais Etape is an exclusive hospitality experience, offering a real day of ‘special treatment’ that will have you sitting down to a divine three course long-lunch, paired with unlimited delicious local French wine, while watching the Stage 5 action from big screen entertainment, amidst some star-studded company, in the form of past Tour de France contenders.

As the mood continues to rise, you’ll soon see the pro peloton fly by seemingly effortlessly, where you’ll by then be glowing with excitement, chanting support at your favourite riders and embracing the lively atmosphere that surrounds.

Concluding a huge day out riding and in hospitality, we will transfer back to the Chateau where the evening will be yours to unwind and relax or explore.

Stage 6 Departure Village + Wine tasting

This morning, concluding breakfast we will transfer to today’s Stage 6 Start in Le Tiel, where you will experience ‘Departure Village’ Tour de France hospitality. Another asset we have privileged access to as an Official Tour Operator.

Here, you’ll be able to kick back over local delicacies and enjoy the humming, excited pre-start atmosphere, while seeing the riders step onto the stage for official sign-on. You’ll then enjoy exclusive access to the team bus area, where riders will be all-go, tentatively preparing for the stage ahead. A unique opportunity that will allow you to see up-close, all the pre-race rituals and routines, catch a glimpse of the latest advanced equipment on display and if you’re lucky, get your photo with some of the sports biggest names. Stick with you tour host, Stuey and we can guarantee you’ll be ‘bumping into’ a few stars of the peloton!

Following the Stage start, you will prepare for our ‘Ride + Wine’ gorgeous vineyard spin back to the Chateau, including numerous reputable local wine tastings along the route. Today’s ride will be all about relaxing, enjoying and closing out what has no doubt been a stellar time on tour, on an absolute high. When in Provence, wine not?

This evening we will enjoy a group dinner at the Chateau to enjoy a final toast together and close out our Tour de Provence all smiles.
