Day 3
Ride Mont Ventoux!
Following an early breakfast and check-out we will drive to Carpentras and get prepared to ride the famously brutal, Mont Ventoux!
Mont Ventoux literally means ‘Windy Mountain’ and the name speaks for itself. To add – it has been nicknamed by many as ‘The Bald Mountain’ due to its interesting, barren Provencal landscape once above the tree line.
The lengthy climb travels up to 1912m and is widely known throughout the cycling world as being a real physical challenge.
Tough, yes but the elation and incredible feeling atop will certainly make It all the more worth it. You game?!
Following todays ride we will transfer to our next hotel and enjoy a group dinner to retell the day’s awesome adventures.

Following an early breakfast and checkout, we’ll be riding out of the hotel towards our first climb Col du Lautaret to start our day.
After the Lautaret we’ll be going head to head with the 2645m high Col du Galibier. Famously tough, lengthy and offering unsurpassed views!
To summit the Galibier is a real achievement and certainly a must-do bucket list climb famous to the Tour de France and the iconic Alps. Make sure you take plenty of photos at the top.
Our ride now continues with the descent off Galibier and then the gentle valley downhill through to our next accommodation and dinner will be at your leisure, allowing you some time to wind down and explore our new surroundings.

Day 5
The legendary Alpe D’Huez!
We hope you’ve recovered and your climbing legs are ready for more action as today we’ll be tackling the legend that is – Alpe d’huez.
Enjoy a good breakfast before we make the short transfer to Bourg dÓisans where we will kick start today’s epic.
Alpe d’Huez is an incredibly iconic climb, very special to the Tour de France and its history. Most famous for its unique 21 hairpins and sensational views along the way. At 15.2km in length and rising up to 1860m – this climb is epic! If you’re a student of previous TDF’s, you’ll realise the finish line for the pro peloton is above the actual township, so if you want to replicate the pros, you need to pass straight on through and endure a few more kms.
For any lover of cycling, it is an absolute MUST do experience and the thrill and sense of accomplishment atop will make every km of suffering seem that much sweeter.
Once summited, we will enjoy the gorgeous rolling road and descent off the mountain down the Col de la Sarenne. Stunning and very remote, you’ll be undoubtedly stopping for a snap or two along the way.
Throughout the ride, we will make a café pitstop on route to enjoy some Tour de France Stage entertainment before returning to vans and transferring back to our hotel.
This evening we will enjoy a group dinner at the hotel and toast to another Col ticked off the list!

Day 6
Stage Depart and Final Cols to Conquer!
Today we are going to round out the week on a high and go BIG!
Following a hearty breakfast, we’ll be transferring to the Stage 20 Tour de France start in Albertville. Here, you will enjoy official VIP Departure Village access, where you’ll be treated to local delicacies from the region, have access to the team bus area and possibly even bump shoulders with Sagan as he gets his morning coffee…
Following the Stage start, you’ll no doubt have some added motivation from the peloton as they set out for their 20th day of racing! Use that to prepare for a big day of conquering cols.
First up will be the Col de la Madeleine . Rising as high as the Glandon but over a few more km’s, at a daring 26km in length – it will be warm up for what is coming next.
Descend and recover well as your last big bucket list climb is yet to come – the Col du Glandon. Incredibly tough at almost 20km in length and just under 2000m, yet stunningly beautiful. So much so, you may even stop hearing your legs screaming – help!
Once back at our hotel we’ll watch the finish of the penultimate Tour de France Stage before enjoying a group farewell dinner and a cheers or two to a huge week in the Alps.
