Day 1

Watch the Stage 7 summit finish up La Planche des Belles Filles

July 8, 2022 / Difficulty

Early morning, the Mummu Cycling team will greet you at Belfort Chaux Airport airport before transferring you to our premium accommodation in the heart of the city of Belfort in the Northeast of France.

Following check-in, the Mummu staff will assist you with bike fits and assembly. It will then be time to kit up for our ride directly to the Stage 7 finish!

*We strongly recommend a pre-night to ensure you do not miss out on riding today in the case of travel delays as it will be a quick turn around to ensure we get to hospitality on time. Please contact our team to discuss options. 

Today marks a special occasion as the first mountain stage and summit finish of this year’s race up La Planche des Belles Filles that has been popularly featured a number of times over the years. We’re expecting fireworks and we will have you there to witness the very best of it.

The 7km climb that averages 8.7% includes the same gravel finish featured in 2019 and the fun news is – you will get to ride the entire climb right to the finish line…

Following a transfer to our ride starting point along the Stage route, you will be guided along the final phase of the course into the climb. All rides will be supported by our ride guides and follow vehicles, so assistance will never be far out of sight!

On arrival to the climb, you will be able to ride it at your own pace, ensuring you enjoy every minute of atmosphere as you pedal up alongside thousands of fans lining the climb awaiting the Stage finish to come.

When you reach the Flamme Rouge at 1km to go, you will have the exclusive opportunity to cross the barriers and ride right up to the finish – gravel and all! This is an incredible experience that we are able to share with our guests as an Official Tour Operator of the race. Enjoy every minute, then wait at the top to have your picture taken.

The good times will keep coming as you will then take a trip to the Stage winner’s podium. Strike your best pose for the cameras! Afterwards, there will be time to change and freshen up before settling into VIP Izoard finish line hospitality where you will await the exhilarating final in style, over big screen race entertainment, endless beverages and delicious canapés.

Following what we expect will be a jaw dropping finish, we will transfer back to the hotel. This evening there will be a group welcome dinner to share a toast to what we expect will be a great week ahead!

Ride along the Stage 8 race route to the finish in Lausanne, Switzerland

This morning, following an early breakfast and checkout we will transfer to our ride starting point along the Stage 8 route that travels from Dole to Lausanne.

On arrival, it will be time to kit up and prepare for a 2.5 hour ride along a rolling route across the stunning Franche Comte mountains through to the ‘Olympic capital’, Lausanne.

Post ride, there will be time to change and freshen up before making our way to the finish. Here, you will have the opportunity to take lunch at your leisure downtown while awaiting the excitement of the Stage finish to come!

Following what we expect will be a tight battle to the line against the puncheurs, we will transfer on to our next accommodation at a gorgeous mountain chalet in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc where the evening will be yours free to explore our new surrounds or relax and unwind after a big day out at Le Tour.

This morning, following an early breakfast and checkout we will transfer along the Stage 8 route that travels from Dole along rolling terrain across the stunning Franche Comte mountains through to the ‘Olympic capital’ of Lausanne.

On arrival, you will have the opportunity to take lunch at your leisure downtown while awaiting the excitement of the Stage finish to come!

Following what we expect will be a tight battle to the line against the puncheurs, we will transfer on to our next accommodation at a gorgeous mountain chalet in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc where the evening will be yours free to explore our new surrounds or relax and unwind after a big day out at Le Tour.

Experience a Tour de France Stage Start

July 10, 2022 / Difficulty

This morning, concluding breakfast we will transfer to today’s Stage 9 Start in Aigle, where you will experience ‘Departure Village’ Tour de France hospitality. Another asset we have privileged access to as an Official Tour Operator.

Here, you’ll be able to kick back over local delicacies and enjoy the humming, excited pre-start atmosphere, while watching the riders step onto the stage for official sign-on, all surrounded by star studded company amidst former pros and big Le Tour names.

*Depending on COVID restrictions next July, we ‘may’ also have access to the Paddock that allows you to walk around the team bus area where riders are busily preparing and warming up for the Stage ahead!

Following the Stage start, there will be opportunity to grab a spot of lunch before transferring to our ride starting point in Thonon-les-Bains. We will then enjoy a 55km ride back into France via a scenic route including 600m of climbing back to the hotel.

On arrival, we will watch the Stage finish together over a deserved beverage. The evening will then be at your leisure to enjoy our beautiful surrounds and dinner in your own time.

Experience a Tour de France Stage Start

July 10, 2022

Day 4

Ride the Col de la Colombiére + indulge in amazing French wine on the Tour de France rest day

July 11, 2022 / Difficulty
/ Distance 3 hours

After a big breakfast this morning the Mummu guides will lead the way on a mountainous ride adventure including two big Alps cols; The Col de Romme and the Col de la Colombiére! Both HC climbs are over 7.5km, averaging between 8 and 9%. So it’s safe to say, you will have your work cut our for you today!

Keep in mind that the Mummu support vehicles will never be far behind carrying sustenance, water, electrolytes and mechanical assistance. Each climb can be ridden at your own pace and we will always regroup up top. So sit back, grind it out and remember to enjoy the views.

After a dive through the mountains, there will be time to freshen up back at the hotel before we transfer to a reputable local winery. Today, you will be celebrating the Tour de France rest day in style enjoying a wine tasting and a decadent lunch, sampling the best of the regions local wines and delicacies.

Later afternoon, we will transfer you back to the hotel. This evening will then be at your leisure to enjoy your final evening in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Today is the Tour de France rest day, so enjoy a nice relaxed morning before we transfer you to a reputable local winery. Today, you will be enjoying a wine tasting and a decadent lunch, sampling the best of the regions local wines and delicacies.

Later afternoon, we will transfer you back to the hotel. This evening will then be at your leisure to enjoy your final evening in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Ride off the Stage 10 Start line, along the race route and on closed roads!

July 12, 2021 / Difficulty

This morning, following breakfast and checkout we will transfer to the Stage 10 start in Morzine Les Portes du Soleil.

On arrival, it will be time to kit up and prepare for a 2.5 hour ride along the race route. Today you will have the incredible opportunity to ride off the Official Stage start line, on closed roads and within the actual race caravan, just hours ahead of the pros! This is another exclusive Official Tour Operator experience that truly allows you to step right inside the race bubble.

From km 0, expect to be wildly applauded by excited fans at the start line and along the Stage route. Take it all in and imagine yourself racing in the world’s biggest bike race! Today’s Stage travels over incredibly picturesque terrain alongside Lake Geneva towards Megéve.

Following a memorable ride, we will make a pitstop roadside along the course where the Mummu Marquee will await with cool beverages and a picnic lunch to replenish your efforts and allow some time to relax before the race comes flying by. Get your cheer on for your favourite riders and take note of the sheer speed they’re travelling at!

After some exciting race viewing, we will transfer to our next destination into the heart of the Alps, right near the legendary Alpe d’Huez.

Ride off the Stage 10 Start line, along the race route and on closed roads!

July 12, 2021

This morning, following an early breakfast and checkout we will transfer to the Stage 10 start in Morzine Les Portes du Soleil.

Today you will have the opportunity to drive off the Official Stage start line, on closed roads and within the actual race caravan just hours ahead of the pros! This is another exclusive Official Tour Operator experience that truly allows you to step right inside the race bubble

Ride the Col du Galibier + Watch the Stage 11 mountain action roadside

This morning enjoy a gourmet breakfast at the hotel before preparing for today’s ride adventure directly from the hotel where you will be tackling two challenging Tour de France climbs featured along the Stage 11 race route; the Col du Télégraphe and the Col du Galibier!

After a short warm-up you will roll straight into the 11.9km Télégraphe that averages 7%. At the summit, enjoy a breather and the quick descent to follow! As from there, you will immediately start climbing the Galibier: 17.7km at 6.9%. This Alps beast is one of the Tour’s most iconic and an absolute must to tick off your bucket list. As it’s race day – expect incredible atmosphere and excited fans cheering you on as you make your way up!

Following a valiant effort, you will descend back down to our roadside viewing spot where you can sit back at the Mummu Marquee over a picnic lunch and take in the incredible mountain atmosphere as we await the pros to storm up the relentless slopes of the climb in hot pursuit of Stage 11 honours!

Post-stage, we will transfer back to the hotel where the evening will be yours free to explore downtown or relax.

Today’s Stage will be an epic battle amongst the climbers, including the 11.9km Télégraphe, the 17.7km Galibier and the Col du Granon.

This afternoon, you will be watching the best of the Stage action roadside up the Galibier. On arrival, sit back at the Mummu Marquee and take in the incredible mountain atmosphere over a picnic lunch as we await the pros to storm up the relentless slopes of the climb in hot pursuit of Stage 11 honours!

Alpe d'Huez is back!

Today is bound to be another fantastic day out in the mountains as the mythical Alpe d’Huez returns to the Tour de France for the first time since 2018!

Following a good breakfast, we will roll out from the hotel, warming up before hitting the base of Alpe d’Huez. At long last, you will have the opportunity to conquer this true Alps legend on RACE DAY. When it comes to atmosphere on a climb, Alpe d’Huez takes things to a whole new level. Embrace it as you pedal your way up, from bend 1 to 21!

After a big effort to the summit, the Mummu guides will lead you back down part of the climb to our roadside viewing spot right in the thick of the mountain magic. This is as great as Tour de France atmosphere gets and you will be right amidst the best of it!

While waiting for the race to approach the climb, enjoy a picnic lunch and cool beverages before settling in for some thrilling roadside action. Prepare to cheer your favourite riders on as they storm by at incredible speeds in hot pursuit of Alpe d’Huez honours.
