Our Pyrenees Peaks pro experience will have you diving right into the most intense stages of the race in the heart of the stunning, yet oh so relentless Pyrenees. Joined by your pro host, Stuart O’Grady, you’ll watch all the action from incredible VIP hospitality locations at bustling stage starts, jaw-dropping finishes, and epic mountain stages – champagne and French canapés in hand, if you please? You’ll ride off the official start line, stand on the winner’s podium with your arms held high and challenge yourself up gritty Tour de France famous ascents, including the iconic Tourmalet, Col de Portet d’Aspet, Col de Peyresourde and beyond. Winery Lunch + Stage 10 finish line hospitality!

Welcome to the Pyrenees and the start of your Pyrenees Peaks pro experience!

The Mummu Cycling team will collect you this morning from Toulouse airport or train station and transfer you directly for an amazing ‘French Experience’ winery lunch to perfectly set the scene for the what we expect will be an incredible 8 days ahead.

Here, you’ll be treated to an indulgent lunch, paired with divine local wine. Enjoy the time to get to know fellow tour group members and talk all things Tour de France, as soon we’ll be making our way to the Stage 13 finish in Carcassonne, directly to finish line hospitality!

Be prepared to be amazed as you step into the Izoard, an exclusive area for select invites and official tour operators. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy all the stage 13 action over big screen entertainment, French canapés and unlimited beverages, while chatting to your pro tour host, Stuart O’Grady to gather stage thoughts and predictions for the expected thrilling sprint finish to come.

You’ll then witness the action live, from an unbeatable viewing position…prepare to cheer your favourite riders on in full force as they blitz past in a valiant fight for stage honours.

Following a big afternoon of bike racing, we will then transfer to our accommodation at the luxury 16th century Château des Ducs de Joyeuse, in the beautiful medieval town of Carcassonne.

On arrival, take some time to check-in and settle. The Mummu team will have by now done most of the bike unpacking and set ups, however you may want to join them in our allocated bike room for fittings and final touches, so you’re all set for ride adventures kicking off tomorrow.

This evening, we will enjoy a group welcome dinner at the beautiful Château to raise our glasses once more to what we are certain will be a memorable tour ahead.

Experience the excitement of a Stage Start at the Stage 14 Departure Village + Tackle the Pic de Nore - 'Mini Ventoux'!

Enjoy a gourmet breakfast at the hotel, then get your day bag packed with ride gear and your camera charged, as today you’ll be enjoying exclusive access to the official Departure Village ahead of Stage 14, then setting out on our own ride adventure!

This access presents a unique occasion to see the riders within close proximity signing-on for the stage ahead, while enjoying the official Tour de France Departure Village festivities – Always full of atmosphere, entertainment and treats; ranging from local delicacies, to coffee and beverages…

Pending Covid-19 guidelines at the time, we may also have access to the team bus area where you’ll see riders undergo their pre-race rituals, warm-ups and routines ahead of the stage.

Once you’ve experienced the excitement of a Stage Start, grab a spot of lunch at your leisure down town before preparing for your own ride where the target will be the Pyrenees-famous Pic de Nore, dubbed ‘the mini Ventoux’ due to its barren final phase and similar looking summit. Lengthy, yet incredibly scenic, we promise you’ll arrive to the top impressed by the killer views and immensely satisfied, having ticked off your first big Pyrenees col! Ride nutrition, water and electrolytes will be provided (on all rides), in addition to mechanical assistance, with the Mummu support vehicles never far out of sight.

Post efforts, we will transfer back to the Château to catch the Stage 14 finish on TV together over a cool beverage.

This evening will be at your leisure to relax and unwind at the Château or take your pick from the reputable local bars and restaurants that surround.

Rolling ride through the picturesque Pyrenees + Spectators Wine & Food Experience

This morning, enjoy a good breakfast at the hotel, before gearing up for today’s ride adventure through the exquisite Pyrenees, straight from the hotel.

Today’s ride, led out by Stuey will be approximately 3 hours along the truly stunning local roads that surround us. Prepare to be mesmerised by the area’s immaculate scenery, quiet country roads and lush green landscape. Along today’s picturesque route, we will stop off at the pointy end of the ride to enjoy a well deserved group lunch at a handpicked local brasserie, before continuing on back to the hotel.

On arrival, we’ll hit the hotel bar to watch the Stage 15 action unfold in Andorra and cheers to a memorable day out on the bike!

The evening will then be yours free to relax and reset, or hit the Château’s surrounding bars and restaurants at your leisure.

Rolling ride through the picturesque Pyrenees + Spectators Wine & Food Experience

July 11, 2021

Enjoy a relaxed start to the morning and a leisurely breakfast, before we set our for a day of exploring the stunning Languedoc Roussillon Wine Country and its Corbières Wine Territory.

While the riders set out on bikes, you’ll be off to visit several local wineries for tastings and a tour, before relaxing over a long, typically French lunch. When in France…wine not!

Following an insightful, indulgent afternoon, we will retreat back to the hotel in time to join the rider’s to watch the Stage 15 finish as it ventures into Andorra.

The evening will then be yours free to relax and reset, or hit the Château’s surrounding bars and restaurants at your leisure.

Conquer Pyrenean cols on the Tour de France rest day!

July 12, 2021 / Difficulty
/ Distance 3 hours

It’s rest day at the Tour de France, but we’ll be doing far from that today!

Following a nutritious breakfast at the hotel, Stuey will lead you out on our loop ride into the heart of the infamous Pyrenees.

Today is the day that you’ll have the opportunity to unleash up gritty Pyrenean cols, or alternatively, tap it out at a pace that’s comfortable for you and appreciate the surreal mountain views on display. Support will be on hand all day, never far out of sight down the road.

Along the way, you’ll tackle the lesser known, Col du Linas, before venturing on, up and over the incredibly beautiful Gorge De Galamus, where you’ll almost certainly be pulling over for a photo opportunity or two! From there, we will charge on to conquer the final hurdle of the day, the 6km Col de Saint-Louis.

On route, we’ll make a pitstop at a local boulangerie to take an easy lunch at your leisure, replenish your efforts and recharge the batteries for the journey home.

Following a huge effort in the mountains, we will finish today’s big ride loop back at the hotel to enjoy our final evening  at the Château – enjoy it!

Conquer Pyrenean cols on the Tour de France rest day!

July 12, 2021

This morning, following breakfast we’ll be making the most of our final day at the Château, by spending a day in the medieval city or Carcassonne, so rich in history.

After a short transfer there, you’ll enjoy a city tour that will include visits to the 15th century Château Comtal and Ramparts, an explore through the enchanting winding alleyways and passages within the city walls, as well as visits to the stunning Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus, and the Carcassonne cathedral.

You’ll then have the opportunity to take your pick from the the city’s amazing crêperie’s and brasseries to grab a spot of lunch, before transferring back to to make the most of your final evening at the Château, yours free to enjoy.

Ride on the Stage 16 race route, including the Col de Portet d'Aspet, stand on the winner's podium & Experience finish line hospitality!

This morning enjoy a good breakfast at the hotel, before check-out.

Pack your day bag with ride gear as we’ll be transferring to today’s ride point as we cruise right back into the Tour de France action for Stage 16!

Today, you’ll have the unique opportunity to ride along the challenging race route, including the climb of the stage, the testing 9.7km Col de Portet d’Aspet, followed by a swift descent right through to the finish in Saint-Gaudens. You will then have the amazing opportunity to pass the barriers at the Flamme Rouge to ride the last km of Stage 16 and cross the official finish line, just a few hours before the winner claims the stage!

To top, you’ll step onto the stage podium for a celebratory photo and pose, before exploring the ‘winners zone’ where post-race interviews take place. This is a very privileged experience granted to official tour operators of the Tour de France and one that we thrive off delivering every time!

Following your rockstar moment, there will be an opportunity to change before settling in for another cracking afternoon in hospitality to witness firsthand an expected tense battle to the line and some potential GC shake-up’s, or perhaps a bit of breakaway success…Now that you’ve ridden the final phase of today’s stage, we’ll leave it in your hands to predict who the winner might be. Either way, the champagne will be chilled and ready to toast.

After the stage, we will transfer to our new accommodation at the 19th century, Hôtel Tourmalet De Londres located in the heart of traditional French village, Luz Saint Sauveur.

This evening, we’ll enjoy a group dinner to share stories from today’s adventures at the Tour de France and cheers to our beautiful new surroundings.

Ride BIG climbs along a mountainous Stage 17 race route & then lap it up at the TDF's best hospitality zone!

This morning, enjoy a substantial breakfast at the hotel to prepare for what will be a truly epic day out at the Tour de France, as we hit Stage 17’s daring race route to tackle a number of its testing climbs, before kicking back at the TDF’s finest hospitality location, the Relais Etape!

Pack your day bag with a change of clothes and your camera ready for action, before transferring across to the Stage 17 course where we will begin today’s mountainous ride with the 13.2km TDF iconic, Col de Peyresourde, averaging a steady 7% for its entirety.

You’ll then be treated to the descent to follow, before tackling the Col de Val Louron-Azet, the second big climb along today’s arduous route. At  7.4km and an 8.3% average, you’ll no doubt have your work cut out for you. Take it as fast or as gently as you so desire and be sure to embrace to beauty that is Tour de France ‘race-day’ Pyrenees mountain atmosphere.

Following a top effort conquering cols, it’ll be time to call it a day at our incredible hospitality zone, located at a pinnacle point along the stage. You’ll have time for a quick freshen up, before settling in for an afternoon well spent, treated to a three course meal, paired with unlimited French wine and beverages. All while watching the stage action unfold from big screen entertainment amidst start-studded company! Soon enough, it’ll be time to step out to see the pros storm past on a furious mission for stage honours. At this point in the race, and with today’s challenging stage profile, the race for yellow will undoubtedly be well and truly on. Prepare to witness those thrilling race-winning attacks LIVE!

Tourmalet day!

Today will be a short, action-packed stage from Pau to the top of the Luz Ardiden, and starring the iconic Tour de France famous, Col du Tourmalet, perfectly located within reach of our hotel!

Following breakfast and checkout, it’ll be time to prepare for your final test through the Pyrenees, and it promises to be EPIC.

The Tourmalet travels up to a brutal 2,115m and from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, we’ll travel up the Western side, enduring 18.9km of climbing with a challenging 7.4% average gradient.

Now’s your last opportunity to unleash in the mountains! Feel free to let your legs do the talking, or soak up the RACE DAY atmosphere and tap it out at your own pace.

After a commendable effort, take in the beautiful views at the summit before descending to our roadside setup for the day, nestled at a key point up the climb.

The hard work is now done, and it’ll be time to pull up a pew under the Mummu marquee, treat yourself to a cool coke or beer and enjoy a picnic lunch while we embrace the excitement on the mountain and prepare for one hell of a show to come very soon…

As the final mountain stage of this year’s Tour de France, expect some serious race fireworks!

Concluding what we are sure will have been a truly spectacular day on the Tourmalet, we will transfer on to our final destination in Lourdes where we’ll be staying in the heart of the vibrant city centre at the Grand Hôtel Gallia Chapelle & Nuxe Spa for our final evening

Take some time to check-in and refresh before joining the Mummu team in our allocated bike room who will be busy packing up bikes ahead of tomorrow’s travel and will have pedals and parts to return for those who have rented Factor Bikes with us.

We will then regroup for our final farewell dinner where we will round out a fantastic Pyrenees Peaks tour on a high, raising our glasses once more to toast to what we hope will have been a trip to remember!

Tourmalet day!

July 15, 2021
