Our Pyrenees Pro Experience will take you inside the Tour de France’s second week through the spectacular Pyrenees. You will go behind the scenes and truly feel part of the Tour de France inner circle with 17 x Tour de France contender, Stuart O’Grady as your host.

Get right into the thick of the action on the Col du Tourmalet and roadside at the ITT in Pau, whilst relishing in the first week of the 2019 Tour de France mountains.

With the focus on following and embracing the race, each day has been carefully designed to ensure you have a maximum Tour de France experience. You will have opportunities to get up-close and personal to your favourite teams, catch all the best action from incredible viewing spots on course and have premium VIP hospitality locations and events along the way!

Day 1

Arrivée

Today the Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Toulouse airport where we will transfer as a group to our hotel.

Following some time to settle in, we will prepare bikes and set out on a relaxed afternoon group ride to spin the legs and enjoy the surroundings and find a great spot for a vin to watch the Stage 10 finish into Albi.

We’ll conclude Day 1 with a group dinner and toast to what we’re sure will be a fantastic week in the Pyrenees embracing the world’s biggest bike race, the Tour de France!

Day 1

Arrivée

July 15, 2019

Today the Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Toulouse airport where we will transfer as a group to our hotel.

Take the afternoon to settle in before we meet the riding group for a vin to watch the Stage 10 finish into Albi.

We’ll conclude Day 1 with a group dinner and cheers to what we’re sure will be a fantastic week in the Pyrenees embracing the world’s biggest bike race, the Tour de France!

Day 2

Team Meet and Greet

This morning we will enjoy a relaxed breakfast before traveling to a team hotel where you will have the incredible opportunity to meet with a pro team on the first Tour de France rest day of 2019 in the Pyrenean town of Albi.

This insider experience is exclusive to Mummu Cycling guests via our host, Stuart O’Grady and will present the perfect platform to see how a professional team operates at the Tour de France and all the rest day news + happenings!

Concluding the team meet and greet, we will set out on bikes on a challenging ride around the Albi surroundings. Here, you will get your first taste of Pyrenean hills which will no doubt have you raring to go and ready for the remaining days ahead.

Dinner this evening will be at your own leisure in Albi, allowing you to embrace the atmosphere of the Tour de France rest day and explore the town – lined with gorgeous historic buildings and most predominantly, the 13th century, Sainte-Cécile Cathedral.

Day 2

Team Meet and Greet

July 16, 2019

This morning we will enjoy a relaxed breakfast before traveling to a team hotel where you will have the incredible opportunity to meet with a pro team on the first Tour de France rest day of 2019 in the surrounds of the Pyrenean town of Albi.

This insider experience is exclusive to Mummu Cycling guests via our host, Stuart O’Grady and will present the perfect platform to see how a professional team operates at the Tour de France and all the rest day news + happenings!

Concluding the team meet and greet, you will have the opportunity to soak up the rest day atmosphere in Albi. The Tour de France will hold a number of festival areas this day and you could end up sharing a coffee with a team or two in town.

Dinner this evening will be at your own leisure, allowing you to embrace the atmosphere of the Tour de France rest day and explore the town – lined with gorgeous historic buildings and most predominantly, the 13th century, Sainte-Cécile Cathedral.

Day 3

Ride Depart

July 17, 2019 / Difficulty
/ Distance 50km

Today will be a unique experience as we set out to ride the first 50km of Stage 11, departing from Albi. This incredible experience allows you to truly feel part of the spectacular Tour de France as we roll off the official Stage start line, on closed roads. Roads will be lined with crowds chanting ‘Allez’s’ in anticipation and excitement of the Tour de France stage to come. Only hours ahead of the pro’s, we’ll be right there in the thick of it taking every km in, grinning ear to ear!

Following our ride on course, we will set up roadside for lunch and to await the peloton. We’ll see them whizz by and cheer our favourite riders on, before regrouping to travel back to our accommodation.

Dinner will be at your own leisure!

Day 3

Ride Depart

July 17, 2019

Today will be a unique experience as we visit the Stage 11 Departure Village , where you’ll be treated to local delicacies from the region and possibly even bump shoulders with Sagan as he gets his morning coffee.

You will then have an incredible experience of driving on the official course only hours before the peloton. This incredible experience allows you to truly feel part of the spectacular Tour de France as we roll off the official Stage start line, on closed roads. Roads will be lined with crowds chanting ‘Allez’s’ in anticipation and excitement of the Tour de France stage to come. Only hours ahead of the pro’s, we’ll be right there in the thick of it taking every km in, grinning ear to ear!

We will meet our riding guests and set up roadside for lunch to await the peloton. We’ll see them whizz by and cheer our favourite riders on, before regathering to travel back to our accommodation.

Dinner tonight will be at your own leisure!

Day 4

Ride the course

July 18, 2019 / Difficulty
/ Distance 40km

Following an early breakfast and check-out, we will enjoy an exclusive experience through our Official Tour Operator license to ride part of Stage 12 on closed roads into Bagnères-de-Bigorre.  Our ride will start in Arreau then continue along the race route including the 10km climb over Horquette d’Anzicam, which will challenge both us and the pros, then a fantastic 30km descent to the finish.  As the final riders on course before the pros, take the opportunity to throw your arms in the air as you cross the finish line and then take to the podium in yellow for a photo and a memory to last a lifetime.

Once in Bagnères-de-Bigorre we will take to the fence on the finish line to witness the pros equal our feet of just hours earlier, will the likes of Martin or Sagan possibly take the stage glory today?

Following the podium presentations we will set off to our next accommodation destination in Lourdes, where we will enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Ride the course

July 18, 2019

Following an early breakfast and check-out, we will enjoy an exclusive experience through our Official Tour Operator license to drive part of Stage 12 on the closed roads into Bagnères-de-Bigorre.  We will summit the 10km Category 1 Horquette d’Anzicam which will be lined with roaring fans.

Once in Bagnères-de-Bigorre we will take to the fence on the finish line to witness the pros equal our feet of just hours earlier, will the likes of Martin or Sagan possibly take the stage glory today?

Following the podium presentations we will set off to our next accommodation destination in Lourdes, where we will enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.

Pau Individual Time Trial

Following breakfast, we will drive to Pau where the Stage 13 Individual Time Trial will be taking place.

We will set out to ride the official TT route ourselves and embrace the incredible on course atmosphere as excited fans line the streets awaiting the race to come!

We will then enjoy a roadside picnic on course to cheer our favourite riders as they blitz by one by one in pursuit of Stage honours. Perhaps another Dumoulin, Thomas, Froome battle?!

Concluding the Stage, we will transfer back to our hotel in Lourdes. Dinner will be at your leisure, allowing you the opportunity to explore the town – a famous site worldwide for those embarking on a Catholic pilgrimage.

Pau Individual Time Trial

July 19, 2019

Following breakfast, we will drive to Pau where the Stage 13 Individual Time Trial will be taking place.

Take the opportunity to explore the starting village of the time trial, full of nerves and excitement as riders begin their warm ups for the only ITT of the 2019 Tour de France.

We will then enjoy a roadside picnic on course to cheer our favourite riders as they blitz by one by one in pursuit of Stage honours. Perhaps another Dumoulin, Thomas, Froome battle?!

Concluding the Stage, we will transfer back to our hotel in Lourdes. Dinner will be at your leisure, allowing you the opportunity to explore the town – a famous site worldwide for those embarking on a Catholic pilgrimage.

This morning we will drive in pursuit of the infamous Col du Tourmalet. At 2115m (6939ft) in elevation, it is officially the highest paved mountain pass in the French Pyrenees. The challenging ascent has made a regular appearance throughout Tour de France history and will be returning in 2019 – this time with a Stage 14 summit finish.

We will be tackling the climb ourselves ahead of the Pros, absorbing the incredible Tour de France atmosphere along the way and getting a true perspective of what’s to come in the race.

Following the challenge, we’ll relax atop, in style, at a premium VIP official Tour de France hospitality zone. Here, you can kick back over a French canapé or two, beverage in hand as we await the exciting mountain top finish to come!

After what will be the climax of the trip, Stuey will host a group dinner at our favourite restaurant in Lourdes to celebrate an incredible week.
