Welcome to Adelaide!!

January 13, 2019

People Choice Classic: 50km

On arrival into Adelaide Airport, you will be greeted and transferred by to our 5-star accommodation in the Adelaide CBD. In the afternoon, will meet outside the hotel for our first group ride to test the bikes, this will be a short, optional ride.

This evening is the annual People’s Choice Classic, a criterium in the heart of Adelaide. We will meet in the hotel foyer for those wishing to walk into the city and watch the race as a group. After the race, make your own way back to the hotel which is a short walk down the popular Rundle Street – a vibrant atmosphere where you might like to stop for a drink or dinner.

Barossa Valley & Winery Lunch

Barossa Valley

With the pros having a rest day before the start of the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under, we will enjoy a day in the Barossa Valley. Riders will be joined by our spectating guests in the Valley for a gourmet lunch, winery tour and wine tastings.

All guests will be transferred back to our hotel late afternoon to enjoy the Tourrific Prospect festivities in the city.

Stage 1

January 15, 2019

Stage 1 – TBC

After a leisurely breakfast, we will depart on our bikes to follow parts of the Stage 1 course, taking in the beautiful areas surrounding the city. We will stop at our road side location to enjoy a picnic lunch before we see the peloton pass for the first time.

Spectating guests will be transferred by bus to meet the riding guests for picnic lunch and to see the peloton for the first time.

In the afternoon, we will transfer/ride back to the hotel and you will have the evening at your leisure.

4

Stage Finish

January 16, 2019

Stage 2 – TBC

After an early breakfast at our hotel this morning, we will commence our ride from the hotel, where we will join the official race course for the day – riding the route before the peloton before tackling Mount Lofty before finishing in Stirling to see the final kms of the stage.

If not riding, we will transfer you after breakfast to the Stage 2 finish where we will meet our riding guests and see exciting finish of Stage 2 of the 2019 Santos Tour Down Under.

Today’s course gives us the opportunity to see the pros pass several times from our vantage point enjoying a picnic lunch before we ride back to the hotel where you will have the evening at your leisure.

Stage Depart

January 17, 2019

Stage 3 – TBC

Today we depart mid-morning by bike or bus to the start of Stage 3, usually in the seaside suburb of Glenelg. Immerse yourself in the festival atmosphere of a stage departure village, including the opportunity to see the riders warming up and signing on before the start of the days stage. After the race has departed we will continue our daily ride or transfer back to the Tour Village to watch the Stage finish on the big screen.

Tonight, you will be an exclusive guest for Mummu Cycling’s private cocktail party with Stuart O’Grady, an event not to be missed.

Bupa Challenge

January 18, 2019

Stage 4 – TBC

We are hoping that the weather is kinder in 2019 than 2018 for our riding guests to tackle the BUPA Challenge on Stage 4. We will transfer you to the starting line in time for your chosen distance and will be there at the finish to escort you back to our hotel to cool down and freshen up.

If not riding, take the opportunity to enjoy the festivities of the Stage 4 departure before heading to the McLaren Vale for a gourmet lunch and winery tour. Full and slightly tipsy, we will transfer you back to Adelaide to explore the city by night.

Willunga Hill

January 19, 2019

Stage 5 – TBC

Stage 5 is often where the Tour Down Under is won or lost. With the stage concluding at the top of the famous Willunga Hill, the days action is one not to be missed! Our riding guests will join the pilgrimage from the city to Willunga to challenge the climb ourselves before we take our place in private hospitality.

After breakfast in Adelaide we will make our way by bike or private transfer to Penny’s Hill Cellars near Willunga to experience the Queens Stage of the Tour Down Under up close. Enjoy a three course lunch with stunning SA wines in the perfect location of the course. Situated near the base of the climb, we will see the peloton pass no less than five times. Our private hospitality includes live race viewing, TVs, air conditioning and all the atmosphere of the Queens Stage.

Transfer back to Adelaide for a well-deserved rest and dinner (if you’re still hungry).

Final Stage

January 2, 2019

Stage 6 – TBC

After checking out of our hotel enjoy a relaxing morning wandering through the Adelaide streets and markets before we head to Mummu Cycling’s vantage point on King William Street for the Stage 6 racing. Mummu Cycling will transfer you back to the airport for your flight home after an amazing tour.
