Riding guests will tackle Tour de France’s famous Alps cols shoulder to shoulder with former champions as your exclusive pro hosts. Enjoy a gastronomic and picturesque lunch on the TDF rest day. Day 1

Welcome to the Alps!

July 13, 2023 / Difficulty

This morning, the Mummu team will meet you at Geneve Airport or train station airport before transferring you to our premium lake side accommodation on Lac de Montriond.

On arrival, check-in and take some time to settle before meeting the Mummu staff in our allocated bike room who will give a short welcome brief and then assist with fitting and assembling bikes ahead of this afternoon’s warm-up spin.

Afterwards, grab a spot of lunch and explore our surrounds before regrouping ready to ride! Today’s ride will be led by our expert guides and will be all about spinning the legs out post travel and preparing for some bigger days through the Alps to come.

On arrival back to the hotel, enjoy some time to relax, unwind enjoy the incredible views from the terrace of Hotel du Lac, before meeting for this evening’s group welcome dinner, providing a great chance to get to know one another and toast to what we are sure will be a memorable week taking in the best of the Tour de France!

Day 1

Welcome to the Alps!

July 13, 2023

This morning, the Mummu team will meet you at Geneve airport or Train station airport before transferring you to our premium lake side accommodation on Lac de Montriond.

On arrival, check-in and take some time to settle before meeting the Mummu staff who will give a short welcome brief discussing the day’s plan and a big trip ahead!

Afterwards, the afternoon will be at your leisure to enjoy lunch and explore our surronds, our hotel is 5 minutes around for the beautiful village of Morzine. Morzine is known for it’s charm and enjoys panoramic mountainous views. In the village, restaurants and bars cluster around Route de la Plagne.

On arrival back to the hotel, enjoy some time to relax, unwind enjoy the incredible views from the terrace of Hotel du Lac, before meeting for this evening’s group welcome dinner, providing a great chance to get to know one another and toast to what we are sure will be a memorable week taking in the best of the Tour de France!

Day 2

Col du grand Colombier stage 13 Finish!

July 14, 2023 / Difficulty
/ Distance 3.5 hours

Bastille Day! Today enjoy a gourmet breakfast as we have a big day on the cards for stage 13!

Stage 13 setting up fireworks indeed with a summit finish at Col du Grand Colombier and we will have you there to witness the very best of it.. The climb in extends for 17.4km at an average gradient of 7.1%, with the final few hundred metres peaking at 12%. The best part is – you also get to ride this epic climb today!

Following a transfer to our ride starting point along the Stage route, you will be guided along the final phase of the course into the climb. All rides will be supported by our ride guides and follow vehicles, so assistance will never be far out of sight!

On arrival to the climb, you will be able to ride it at your own pace, ensuring you enjoy every minute of atmosphere as you pedal up alongside thousands of fans lining the climb awaiting the Stage finish to come.

When you reach the Flamme Rouge at 1km to go, you will have the exclusive opportunity to cross the barriers and ride right up to the finish! This is an incredible experience that we are able to share with our guests as an Official Tour Operator of the race. Enjoy every minute, then wait at the top to have your picture taken.

The good times will keep coming as you will then take a trip to the Stage winner’s podium. Strike your best pose for the cameras! Afterwards, there will be time to change and freshen up before settling into VIP Izoard finish line hospitality where you will await the exhilarating final in style, over big screen race entertainment, endless beverages and delicious canapés.

Following what we expect will be a jaw dropping finish, we will transfer back to the hotel. This evening will be yours to relax and enjoy dinner at leisure before another big day of climbing tomorrow.

Col du grand Colombier stage 13 Finish!

Bastille Day! Today enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel as we have a big day on the cards for stage 13!

Ride Col de Joux Plane & Watch Stage 14 LIVE Roadside

July 15, 2023 / Difficulty

This morning enjoy a gourmet breakfast at the hotel before preparing for today’s ride adventure directly from the hotel where you will be tackling the challenging Col de Joux Plane that is the last climb of stage 14 before the riders descend down to finish in Morzine.

After a short warm-up you will roll straight into the 11.6km Col de Joux Plane that averages 8.5%. At the summit, enjoy a breather photo opportunity. As it’s race day – expect incredible atmosphere and excited fans cheering you on as you make your way up!

Following a valiant effort, you will make your way to our roadside viewing spot where you can sit back at the Mummu Marquee over a picnic lunch and take in the incredible mountain atmosphere as we await the pros to storm up the relentless slopes of the climb in hot pursuit of Stage 14 honours!

Post-stage, we will transfer back to the hotel where the evening will be yours free to explore downtown or relax.

This morning enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the hotel followed by a morning of swimming and relaxing at the lake!

Today is stage 14, and it looks to be another tough day on the cards for the pro’s – and we will be right there on the last climb of the day to witness the fireworks live! After a relaxing morning it will then be time to drive up Col de Joux Plane that averages 8.5%. As it’s race day – expect incredible atmosphere and excited fans cheering us on as we make our way up! On the way to the top we will stop at our roadside viewing spot where you can sit back at the Mummu Marquee over a picnic lunch and take in the incredible mountain atmosphere as we await the pros to storm up the relentless slopes of the climb in hot pursuit of Stage 14 honours!

Departure Village Hospitality

After breakfast this morning we will be joined by none other than Cadel Evans have a short transfer to the Stage 15 start in Les Gets where you will experience ‘Departure Village’ Tour de France hospitality – Another asset we have privileged access to as an Official Tour Operator.

Here, you’ll be able to kick back over local delicacies and enjoy the humming, excited pre-start atmosphere, while watching the riders step onto the stage for official sign-on, all surrounded by star studded company amidst former pros and big Le Tour names. We also have access to the Paddock that allows you to walk around the team bus area where riders are busily preparing and warming up for the Stage ahead! Follow your hosts, Cadel Evans and Stuart O’Grady around and you never know who you might bump into!

Following the excitement of watching the Stage start, it will be time to kit up for today’s ride where Stuey will be leading the way on a scenic, rolling ride back to our hotel where we will make a pitstop to take a breather and enjoy lunch at your leisure.

Once back at the hotel take a chance to freshen up and relax before joining the group to watch the Stage 15 finish together back at the hotel over a well-deserved beer or two!

This evening, we will have a group dinner to welcome Cadel to the Alps!

Departure Village Hospitality

July 16, 2023

After breakfast this morning we will be joined by none other than Cadel Evans and have a short transfer to the Stage 15 start in Les Gets where you will experience ‘Departure Village’ Tour de France hospitality – Another asset we have privileged access to as an Official Tour Operator.

Day 5

Ride Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc with Cadel Evans!

July 17, 2023 / Difficulty
/ Distance 3 hours

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel this morning. Today may be a rest day at the Tour de France – but it’s certainly no rest day for you…. Today’s ride will see you tackle the famous Saint-Gervais Mont-Blac!

After a warm up ride, you will then be heading up the climb which is 17.8km in length with a gradient of 3.7% and parts up to 20.4%! The best part…you’ll be riding with former TDF winner Cadel Evans!

Keep in mind that the Mummu support vehicles will never be far behind carrying sustenance, water, electrolytes and mechanical assistance. Each climb can be ridden at your own pace and we will always regroup up top. So sit back, grind it out and remember to enjoy the views.

After a dive through the mountains, there will be time to freshen up back at the hotel before we transfer to a reputable local winery. Today, you will be celebrating the Tour de France rest day in style enjoying a wine tasting and a decadent lunch, sampling the best of the regions local wines and delicacies.

Later afternoon, we will transfer you back to the hotel. This evening will then be at your leisure to enjoy the surrounds.

Today is the Tour de France rest day, so enjoy a nice relaxed morning and take in the local surrounds. We’d highly recommend going for a swim in the lake if it’s hot!

At lunchtime, we’ll transfer you to a reputable local winery where you will be enjoying a wine tasting and a decadent lunch, sampling the best of the regions local wines and delicacies.

Later afternoon, we will transfer you back to the hotel. This evening will then be at your leisure to enjoy the surrounds.

Watch the Stage 20 TT from Relais Etape Hospitality

July 18, 2023 / Difficulty

Today begins the final week of racing for the 2023 Tour de France and what better way to open it than with the only TT stage. Today’s short and spicy stage starts in Passy, to the west of Chamonix and heads to the to the “famous” Domancy climb and an uphill finish at Combloux. The Domancy Climb will take us up 400m in elevation in just 4.5km’s – ouch! We will have you there to witness the best of the Stage 16 race against the clock magic from incredible Tour de France hospitality on course!

After a decent breakfast at the hotel, before the action gets underway, we will be enjoying our own ride adventure on the TT course to get a real feel for what’s in store for this afternoon’s racing. Today you will be riding with cycling legends Cadel Evans and Stuart O’Grady!

After the ride it will be time to freshen up and kick back and enjoy a fantastic day of spectating at the Tour de France’s most talked about hospitality location – the Relais Etape, with both Cadel Evans & Stuart O’Grady!

The Relais Etape is an exclusive hospitality experience, offering a real day of ‘VIP treatment’ that will have you sitting down to a divine three course long-lunch, paired with unlimited local French wine, all while watching the Stage 16 action from big screen entertainment, amidst some star-studded company, in the form of past Tour de France contenders.

As the atmosphere continues to build, you’ll soon see the riders blitz by one by one at mind-blowing speeds, on cutting edge aerodynamic equipment. By then, you’ll be glowing with excitement, chanting support at each rider as they fly past within arm’s reach!
