Welcome to Le Tour!

Mid morning, the Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Geneva train station before transferring on to our 4* accommodation at the Hosteller du Chapeau Rouge; a former characterful private house with a modern twist and a unique artistic vibe nestled right in the thick of Dijon’s city centre.

On arrival, enjoy some time to check-in and settle before meeting the Mummu staff in our allocated bike room who will give a short welcome brief, before assembling and setting up bikes ahead of today’s warm-up ride.

This afternoon, the Mummu guides will lead you on a stunning 1.5 hour ride taking in the incredible vineyard dotted countryside of Dijon and its picture perfect surrounds. As the capital city of Burgundy, it is one of France’s principal wine-making areas, well known for its divine wines in addition to its mustard, of course!

We will end the day’s ride at a favourite local winery where you will be treated to a delicious welcome lunch. A fantastic opportunity to get to know one another and share a toast or two over a great drop of vino and a delicious meal to pair. Cheers to what we expect is going to be a memorable trip ahead!

After lunch, we will transfer back to the hotel. The evening will be yours free to unwind or explore Dijon, rich in stunning architecture and well regarded for its exceptional gastronomy – there is plenty to see, do and indulge in…right within close walking distance from our accommodation.

Welcome to Le Tour!

Mid morning, the Mummu Cycling team will meet you at Geneva train stationbefore transferring on to our 4* accommodation at the Hosteller du Chapeau Rouge; a former characterful private house with a modern twist and a unique artistic vibe nestled right in the thick of Dijon’s city centre.

On arrival, enjoy some time to check-in and settle before meeting the Mummu staff in our allocated bike room who will give a short welcome brief.

This afternoon we will transfer to a favourite local winery via the incredible vineyard dotted countryside of Dijon and its stunning surrounds. As the capital city of Burgundy, it is one of France’s principal wine-making areas, well known for its divine wines in addition to its mustard, of course!

Here, you will be treated to a delicious welcome lunch. A fantastic opportunity to get to know one another and share a toast or two over a great drop of vino and a delicious meal to pair. Cheers to what we expect is going to be a memorable trip ahead!

Ride Along the Stage 6 Race Route & Watch the Fast Finish Roadside in Dijon

This morning, enjoy a good breakfast as today you will be diving right into some Tour de France action!

Today’s Stage 6 from Mâcon to Dijon is one purely designed for the fast men, travelling over a pancake flat route that will no doubt have the sprint teams and the world’s best sprinters itching for victory. One man we are certain will be hungrier than ever for the win is Mark Cavendish as for the final time in his career he is lining up at the TDF to take his last shot at the stage win record. He currently sits in first equal with Eddy Merckx at a credible 34. Who’s backing him?!

Once kitted up and ready to roll, the Mummu guides will lead the way out onto the race route where we will ride the final 40km into the finish. Enjoy the atmosphere out on course as spirited fans line the streets in cheer awaiting the action!

On arrival to the finish back in Dijon, there will be opportunity to grab a bite of lunch at your leisure downtown before settling in roadside right amongst the thick of the atmosphere to watch the top sprinters in the world fight it out for glory. Prepare to be amazed at the incredible speed as they blitz by us within the blink of an eye and you see the stage winner take emphatic honours.

After a thrilling dose of live action, we will transfer back to the hotel. This evening will be at your leisure to continue exploring the historic city and all it has to offer.

Ride Along the Stage 6 Race Route & Watch the Fast Finish Roadside in Dijon

July 4, 2024

This morning, enjoy a good breakfast as today you will be diving right into some Tour de France action!

Before Le Tour fun gets underway, there will be a bit of time to kill this morning so what better way to explore the historic Dijon than on a city tour. Here you will be guided through the must-see areas of the UNESCO designated medieval city, visiting the likes of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, the Church of Notre-Dame and Liberation Square. A great opportunity to whip out your camera to capture some incredible shots of these marvellous monuments!

Following the tour, we will make our way to the finish also in Dijon centre to meet up with the rest of the Mummu crew. Grab a bite of lunch at your leisure downtown before settling in roadside right amongst the thick of the atmosphere to watch the top sprinters in the world fight it out for glory. Prepare to be amazed at the incredible speed as they blitz by us within the blink of an eye and you see the stage winner take emphatic honours.

Watch the Stage 7 Time Trial From Relais Etape Hospitality

After breakfast and a coffee or two this morning, prepare for another big day out at the Tour de France. Today is a special occasion as you will be stepping right into the race’s inner sanctum spending the day at the Tour’s finest hospitality zone, the Relais Etape and all joined by legendary multi-time TDF Stage winner, Stuart O’Grady!

Once ready to ride, we will transfer to the Stage 7 Time Trial start in Nuits-Saint-Georges where you’ll have the opportunity to ride the 25km course with Stuey through the picturesque vineyards of Burgundy and onto the finish in Gevrey-Chambertin. The perfect chance to see what’s in store for the pros just hours behind us, as well as once again taking in the excited atmosphere the Tour de France brings. Expect to be cheered on every k of the way by excited fans lining the course!

After riding the stage, we will continue pedalling back to the hotel where you will have time to shower and change before transferring back to the course to the exclusive Relais Etape. The Relais Etape is an experience like no other, offering the ideal combination of race viewing and indulging! Throughout the day you will be treated to a decadent multi-course meal, paired with unlimited local wines and beverages. Enjoy all this while watching the best of the Stage 7 Time Trial from a key point along the route. Bonus: As today’s a Time Trial you will see every rider fly right by us in pursuit of stage honours, rounded out with the top GC contenders battling it out for the Yellow Jersey and every precious second they can get. When not completely immersed in the live race action, you’ll be sipping on fine French wines quizzing Stuey on his extensive career, watching the race from big screen entertainment- or LIVE out on the sidelines, and embracing the excited party-like atmosphere that the Relais Etape never fails to deliver. 

After seeing the stage draw to a close and the day’s winner crowned, we will return to the hotel where the evening will be yours free to relax.

See the Stage 8 Start From the Official Departure Village, Joined by Cadel Evans

After breakfast and check-out this morning we will transfer 1 hour to the Stage 8 start in Semur-en-Auxois.

Today will be extra special as you’re joined by 2011 Tour de France champion and the only Australian to ever win the Tour, Cadel Evans. Both Cadel and Stuey will be leading the way through the Official Tour de France Departure Village – another unique experience we have the honour of delivering as a TDF Tour Operator. The Departure Village is a buzzing area that surrounds the official podium where the riders sign on for the stage, packed with atmosphere, entertainment and an array of local treats and beverages to choose from while soaking it all up. Neighbouring the village is the team paddock where the pros busily prepare at their team buses ahead of sign on.

We will have you right there in the thick of it to lap up the Departure Village festivities, and if you stick with your hosts – Stuey and Cadel, it’s almost guaranteed you will run into a number of big names as they catch up with and introduce you to former team mates and some of the sports best!

After watching the peloton depart for the stage, we will transfer to our ride start point en route to our next hotel destination in Troyes. *Lunch packs will be provided today.

Now you will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to ride with a Tour de France champion! Enjoy the moment as Cadel and Stuey lead the way on a beautiful scenic 2.5 hour adventure.

We will end the afternoon’s ride at our premium accommodation located in the heart of Troyes. Enjoy some time-out to relax and freshen up before regathering this evening for a group dinner. Here, Cadel and Stuey will share stories from their Tour de France race days and a very special 2011 when Cadel took Yellow. All over a delicious meal and wine to pair. Santé to that!

Ride Along the Stage 8 Gravel Marred Route Into Troyes With Cadel & Stuey + Stand Atop the Winner's Podium!

Today marks a very exciting day for the Tour de France as a hilly gravel mad stage from Troyes > Troyes looms!

Enjoy a decent breakfast this morning before gearing up for a solid ride along the final phase of the course that will include several sections of unpaved road. The perfect taste to see what’s in store for the pros! All in great company as you’ll once again be guided by the experts as Cadel and Stuey lead the way, sharing expert tips and advice on how to navigate any technical sections encountered, as well as sharing thoughts and predictions on the stage action and potentially drama to come!

Lap up the outstanding atmosphere out on course as we make our way into the finish and cross the barriers at the 1km to go Flamme Rouge to enjoy the exclusive opportunity of riding right across the finish line, pumping your fist into the air and sporting your biggest grin as you go. The fun continues as you make your way to the stage winner’s podium to soak up some time in the spotlight and grab a pic with your star hosts.

After some podium time, take a moment to change before heading to VIP Izoard hospitality, primly located just metres from the line. Here you will be able to relax over unlimited beverages and French canapés while watching the action unfold over big screen entertainment as we excitedly await the finish to come and what should be a truly epic battle to the line. You’ll be right there to see it all just a stone’s throw away…brace yourself for something special!

Following the stage finish, we will transfer back to the hotel before saying au revoir to Cadel and Stuey. We will then enjoy one last group dinner to round out what we expect has been an epic week taking in the best of the Tour de France’s first week.
