He plays a pivotal role in the design of each tour; from day-to-day itineraries, to ride routes, stages and pro team meetings. Mummu’s cycle touring holidays kick start down under in South Australia for the now world-famous Santos Tour Down Under. This is an incredibly unique event, all based from the central hub of Adelaide city and travelling throughout its incredible surroundings throughout the week. The race atmosphere is incredible and now attracts countless cycling enthusiasts annually. Mummu Cycling offer numerous different experiences throughout the week and with Stuart O’Grady and brother + lead ride guide, Darren O’Grady both Adelaide born – their local knowledge certainly adds to the experience delivered.
From there, Mummu’s cycle tour holidays head back to the Northern hemisphere and straight into the iconic Spring Classics. Brutal in nature, yet a true spectacle and must-do experience for any lover of cycling. Race entertainment is almost always at its absolute best and atmosphere at its peak. As a former champion of Paris-Roubaix, the Spring Classics provide some incredible memories for Stuart O’Grady and one’s he will happily retell time and time again while touring throughout the Spring.
From the Classics, Mummu’s cycle touring holidays hit the mountains and onto the first of the three Grand Tours – the Giro d’Italia. Numerous experiences are run in sync with the race which travels through Italy’s most stunning regions; from the gorgeous coastlines to their outstanding mountains. Many-a bucket list climb will be ticked off along the way, key action-packed stages will be visited and Italian culture absorbed!
For Mummu Cycling – the busiest, yet most exciting time of the season comes in July for the world’s biggest bike race, The Tour de France. Mummu Cycling offer 9 unique cycle touring holidays throughout the Grand Tour, ensuring the dream experience for just about everyone. From being in the thick of the atmosphere at the special Grand Depart, to conquering the Alps or the Pyrenees by bike + kicking back in VIP zones from premium viewing locations, through to experiencing the sensational Grand Finale of the race along the iconic Champs-Élysées in Paris. As a 17 x Tour de France contender, stage winner and multiple day yellow jersey wearer, Stuart O’Grady will be there with bells on ready to assist in delivering an unforgettable experience.
Last, yet certainly not least is the final Grand Tour of the season, the Vuelta Espana. Mummu Cycling aim to end the season on a high at the Vuelta by providing cycle tour holidays that will allow you to ride the most talked about, must-do climbs and rides throughout Spain, all while taking in the very best moments of the race as the world’s best fight it out for honours.
